Hello, Ive made a new video training and the thumbnail is quite amusing :) and not the best though. Can we change the thumbnail or are we stuck with what is produced as it is
WA doesn't use thumbnails, Marc. They just show an image from a few seconds into the video.

Perhaps technically they don't use thumbnails, then.
But the image they show in this case is certainly more than a few seconds into the video! I don't know why they don't just use the start of the video...

Marion, I looked at this again. The very earliest this screenshot could have appeared is 3 MINUTES into the video.... why in the world would WA pick some random shot 3 minutes into the video???
Feigner is indicating that we can select the shot the appears, perhaps if we wait for the processing to complete before publishing it... do you know if that is true? cheers Marc
I'm not sure what to see here Marion, I just see a blank video with a play button. But I think you've answered my question, there is nothing to help this.

That's the random frame that appears as the "thumbnail" for my video. No help to people who may be interested in the video.
ahhh! I get it! Yes, quite useless -- but maybe better than a funny face with wide open mouth and eyes closed!! LOL
unless someone else can find a way - i don't think you can change it after publishing.
i have had a quicl poke around and don't see anywhere to edit the training - except if someone requests an update- then maybe you can edit it.

yeah, thank you for taking the time for a poke around -- I did the same and was hoping I missed something.
But are you saying that before publishing I can choose a thumbnail?
I could always delete it and republish it if I have a choice of thumbnails I suppose.
Otherwise, people will just have to look at me with my eyes squinting closed and my mouth open! LOL

i think in the last bit before publishing you can upload a thumbnail - if you can't see it then pm marion black - she produces vids all the time or loes.
as i say i never remember till too late.
so it might be worth going through the motions slowly and getting to the last stage and saying no i don't agree to see if it refuses to create the training.
but i think it is when you add the text under the video you can also upload an image.

Hi Phil, cool, I hope so, I asked her this.... I did rush the end bit and published before processing the video was done... then the WA algorithm picked some random shot over 3 minutes into the video....I'd like some control over that I suppose... cheers and thanks again Marc
Do you ,mean in You Tube?
You can change it by clicking on it in the editor and selecting edit.

Hi guys, did someone get a solution to this? I have the same issue over here! Random thumbnail shows "site can't be reached"! Not sure anyone would click on a training like that.
