Daily Facts - Day #8: Want to double your traffic?
According to MediaPost ...
Organic search drives more than 50% of all visitors to B2C and B2B websites, while paid search drives only 10% and social media only 5%.
Accepting the above facts, I've tried to follow a different logical path ...
So ... Organic search drives more than 50% of all visitors ...
In other words: a given organic traffic volume can be (at least) doubled using other avenues!
So ... If I have a 500 average traffic in Jaaxy, I could get another 500 visitors using PPC, social media, etc ...
Quite important idea I'd say ... It made me realize that we should NEVER stop promoting & re-marketing our content ... Regardless of its publishing date.
Usually we are ready to invest a lot of time and a huge effort to create a valuable, keyword-rich content piece, and then ... we often forget that SEO & trust-building is a long-term game and we need to keep our content pieces alive ...
What is your opinion? Do you agree?

I do agree. I have a schedule that I try to keep with social media, so they get fresh content regularly. I'm learning...and you are helping.
More good clues from our Romanian Mentor !! Stuff comes out fast and furious.....how many coffee's this morning Zed ? I save all your stuff cause I can't read as fast as you write. Need to take a speed reading class. Thanks over and over again....keep us all sharp Dr.Z :))))))
Thanks John!
Grab some coffees and start reading because I still have a few more drafts on my desk :)
Thank you Zed for yet another thought provoking blog post!
Being new to the internet marketing world, I am still learning about this very subject. However, what you have suggested here seems to make sense to me. Obviously, organic traffic is the best, but a strategically placed paid advertisement campaign could really boost traffic.
I am still creating content for my first site. While I do that, I am trying to soak up as much information as I can about driving quality traffic to my site.
Please keep us posted on the results if you try a diversified approach to traffic generation.
Thanks again!

We know organic is best - coz it's big and free :-) - but the 50% figure must assume you're doing EVERY other kind of promotion. If you don't do any other kind then it will account for close on 100%.
I agree, all traffic is worth pursuing but other than SEO, what's the best way to generate it?
Ian
Thanks for your feedback Ian!
Regarding your question ... Apart from the very obvious solutions already mentioned in my post, here are a few more tips: email marketing, forum marketing, link building, etc
Nice advice mate, so cycle, update and repost the important content, like that idea, thanks for the valuable insight👍👍👍
Agree.
According to Neil Patel you don't have to create thousands of articles which are almost related. What you can do instead is update your existing posts, add more information or update facts [add value], get fresh visualization to the post. Google loves it more. :)

And usually I tend to listen when Patel says something :)
Once again, thanks for the added value Joe!
I really don't know much about this topic yet but I agree because I understand trust building is key.
I believe that if you can re-use, re-purpose or otherwise renew something that you have used in the past and it is feasible and works for you and your site and niche, then go for it.
But I also think that there are a lot of variables and that it would most likely be way down the road for most people. That being said, I have been wrong before and I am likely to be wrong again. It's that pesky humanness I suffer from.

I often forget to revisit my older content and share again in other forms. I think I need to build that in to my way of working to maximise the exposure of my content regardless of its publish date.
Thanks for the reminder. I really enjoy reading your blogs - thanks!
Thanks for your feedback Melissa!
