The first thing I'd do is empty your cache on your internet browser, then shut everything off and restart. Sometimes that works for me, lol.
And here's some training from Marion: Applying for Adsense and Where to Paste the Code She has lots of training and she's my go-to person for things like this. She's awesome.

Remove the code from the header, Sandy. You don't need it there anymore and it allows Google to place ads wherever it likes. Use this plugin Easy Adsense Ads with Ad Inserter Plugin

This issue happened to a few WA people. Here is the link to one of them: can anybody help? Google Adsense and an ads.txt file? The solution for Sara (@sarapoyner) was to let support handle the problem. But, it's good to know all the options available in case you want to know how to do it yourself.

Your gravatar photo is associated with the email address.
Your Gravatar account can host lots of different email addresses, each of which can have its own photo.
Did you upload a photo associated with the same email address that you're using for your comments?
