I highlighted my email address and clicked to insert a link but it still will not link to my website
Hi Sadie,
The correct HTML syntax for an email link is this:
< a href = "mailto:first@email.address "> Contact Us < /a >
(Take out the spaces).
This being said, it's not a good idea to use a link. Spammers use robots and programs to "sniff" websites for this. I highly recommend a Contact Form plug-in if your template doesn't already have one.
Wait, are you trying to add a link to your website on your email address? Or to add a link to your email address so people can contact you by simply clicking on the link?

How can I get the links on my website to work?
Tried to add a link which seemed to work. When I clicked it, it linked to another of my pages and not Amazon. I tried putting the same link, onto a post rather than a page and it went to Amazon. However, I want then to link from my page not that particular post. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Your email is fine, though I recommend using a contact form plugin instead, e.g. Contact 7 or similar. Otherwise, the bots will pick up your email address and you will eventually end up with tons of email spam.
I can see from looking at the link to the kill advocacy center that you have not used the correct linking process. Here's training for how to create links on your site:

Oh, and I noticed that there seem to be a lot of social widgets installed on your site, or multiple instances of one. Each of those buttons is making connections to those websites and having a lot of them will slow down your site load time. This can affect SEO as well as user experience, so I recommend you just have 2-3 buttons maximum.
The email link isn't working for me right now. Are you using this code? http://www.echoecho.com/htmllinks11.htm
It might be that you had a space after your : mark which is a common mistake.
Thx for offering to help. It's just a link to link to my email. So este@pawzandpalz.com should go straight to my email box but it opens a blank page.
I don't have Outlook on my computer. I'm actually having trouble with all links on my website - even the link on my website linking to my website doesn't work. Thx!
Actually it looks like it's just the email link that doesn't work for me. I guess it's because I don't have Microsoft Outlook installed?
the email link on your pet services page still pulls up outlook for me, which suggests that it works
Describe in detail how you are trying to add these links, so I can better understand what you are trying to do. Is it an affiliate link, or just to another page or post within you site, or a media link...etc. Let me know. Kim :))

Here's a good training on that: Creating An Email Link In Wordpress
For some reason this isn't working. The email link takes you to a blank page.
