Cartoon/Post: How To Turn A Passion Into Profit
Thought I'd try something different.
I've used Pow Toon cartoons about a year ago and got a bit frustrated so I thought I'd try again.
The post on my site is avery basic one but I wanted to get the video up there and check the speed of it's ranking over the next few weeks.
With the World Cup being on and Nike producing their 'Last Game' cartoon with their Logo reading: "Risk Everything Pictures", I thought I would make a logo too. It's a bit rough as I made it in Keynote. Mine is called 'Risk Nothing Cartoons'
Thought it might be a laugh. I registered the domain too!
I've got a call to action at the end that goes to my affiliate landing page but it's not hyperlinked. On the YouTube site I've got the http link below the video however!
Anyway, check it out it's only a minute and a half. See what you think?
I'm no Walt Disney and Pixar won't lose sleep I'm sure!
It's the first post on my home page! http://streetsmartaffiliate.com
Please leave a comment or review on the page if you can.
Appreciate your time!
Cheers.....Russ

Thanks so much for your comments on my site.
I left you quite a lengthy reply as well.
Best wishes .....Russ
Yeah, thanks David....I just got it (I'm Down-Under) and replied. Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out, I appreciate it!
Brenda, Firstly let me say thank you for taking time to look at the post and I understand that the two names seem closely associated so it's easy get mixed up, that's okay.
Focus, as you say; can be difficult for all of us but I understand the health challenges you're facing and it mustn't be easy for you.
Small success's are important and finding things that you can do, small things that make a difference to your potential site visitors - have the power to raise one's confidence and propel us on to new challenges.
If you go to Pow Toon and have a look there, there may be a trial.
I think you could have fun with it and the possibilities are endless with it's use. Besides, Google seems to like You Tube stuff and cartoons are very much trending right now, maybe worth having a look.
You never know, you could be the next super animator just waiting to be discovered?
Once again thanks for taking the time to check out the post.
Anything I can do to help please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'm no whizz kid but I always share what limited knowledge I have.
Take care Brenda.......
Russ, That was really cool! Very engaging video presentation. -Pat
P.S., You may want to submit your work to Pixar, you may have another calling ;)
Thanks Pat, for the time it took me I think I'd be too expensive for them.
Cheers for the reply
I like your video presentation. Easy to understand and follow. Like your website, too. Congrats.
Hey there Russ, brilliant, loved the cartoon. Keep us posted how it goes. How long did it take to put that together? Cheers, Simon
Will do.
Thank for commenting. It did take a few hours but once you get a roll on it's just a matter of patience.
Tweaking it etc can be fiddley but it's bit of fun and cartoons are quite popular at present.
I'll let you know how I go
Cheers Russ
Enjoyed it. Really cute. I must also admit that I've been looking at your link and seeing "streetarticles.com" and wondering why you were posting on SA. Yes I admit, I don't go out to every site like I should.
It's been a long, but productive day and on the note of laughter I got from your video, I'm signing off for the night. Always better to laugh before bedtime.
Brenda
Thanks for the comment!
Not sure what you mean by street article's. I've never submitted anything to that site. Can you explain a bit more. My site has a similar name that's all
Cheers
MS muddled brain, similar name. I also have some vision problems. Whatever it's always just an excuse. But when my "brain gets an idea" it goes running through the tulip fields hence I thought Street Articles, don't want to go there....
Then today (last night really) I actually had functioning brain cells and was curious about your video and clicked. When the screen wasn't the one I expected, I looked again at the url and read it letter by letter and saw that it was similar, but not the same and felt a little stupid. Which I might add is a normal state of mind for me. Stupid, lost, dazed, and confused. MS, gotta love it. Back to the tulip field for a few minutes, then back to the computer.
I think you get the general idea of what I'm trying to say. Things are starting to make a little sense and I have to focus on those little successes. Focus is a major obstacle for me so I have to make note and feel good when I have those brief moments.
In short, I enjoyed your video and was wondering what software you used. I'm now starting to think about which software is going to be:
1) easy to learn 2) cheap, free is better 3) will allow a mathematician the opportunity to try to be artistic and creative (yeah right like that's going to happen)
I have jing for screen captures and am looking at screencast. Do you have any other suggestions?
I'm just plodding along and trying to stay on track. The important thing is I'm learning and actually having a lot of fun.
Now that I've fully confused you, I'm getting off. Keep up the good work!

I got to a few pages on your website, Russ, it's an amazingly well done site for your WA project. Couldn't get the video, I think it's my slow computer today (not usually this slow), it's still trying to connect. But I'll try it again later. I was really impressed with what I did get.

Thanks Bunn, I appreciate you taking the time to visit!
