Just out of curiosity, how long on average, has it taken your website to generate traffic visiting the site based on content alone? I know every niche is different and some are
I had a web site generate traffic within a month. I had a sea of starter members after 2 1/2-3 months, but they never did anything with their sites.
The trick is that I was scrambling to post an article or review every day for 2 1/2-3 months. I pretty much ran out of material.
If you take a moderate approach, it mat be the same time frame. It might be a little longer.
But keep plugging away and you will get it.
Good luck.
In addition to what others said, the recommendation to keep updating blog 2 - 3 posts a week and that's for the foreseeable future.
This is a difficult one to answer; as a total newcomer, I’d say give yourself a realistic expectation of at least 3 months. Once you’re experienced, you can get traffic much sooner. I launched a website recently & it begun getting traffic within just a few days. Just comes mainly with the art of mastering keyword research :)
Hello Ryan,
Usually, it takes about 3-6 months to see regular traffic coming to your website. In that time frame, that’s when your website is in Google’s sandbox.
In other words, your website needs to prove to Google (i.e. writing content every week) that it’s worth getting your articles ranked at the top. But that’s common for new websites during their first year.
If you follow a writing schedule and stick to it for the next 6-12 months, the website will eventually get traffic and rankings as well. It’s why content is key for new websites during the first year.
I hope that helps. Wishing you all the best :)
Regards,
-Eric
