My First Month with Twitter (Almost)
I have almost had my first month with this new Twitter account, twenty-eight days in fact! I have a few other Twitter accounts which I do use. I actually open my first Twitter account back in May 2009.
I haven't had a huge amount of time to focus on this new account, however I am trying to engage in conversations and find like-minded people. At the time of writing I have 416 followers and I'm following 497 people. I'm not sure if the logarithm works quite like this, but it currently equals approximately 100 people per week.
I have been using the hashtag to find and connect with like-minded people, which is a really useful feature and using the trending feature to get involved in conversations.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am finding Twitter much quicker and easier to use than Facebook, it is very quick to get involved in conversations and very quick to respond, especially if you're using a mobile device.
I will update you again next month to tell you more.

I use Twitter, but not enough, as I'm usually on Pinterest, Linkedin or FB. I am yet to create an affiliate business account, but have a personal one and one for my books and writing.

Thank you Erin, Pinterest and Instagram are my next ones on the list, I feel I should be using LinkedIn more too, although I do have a business page for my off-line business on LinkedIn.

Hello Erin, thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. I always feel that I am not using LinkedIn enough as I feel it is often underestimated. Just as interest Erin, when you say you post your blog on LinkedIn, do you just mean you share a link from your blog or how do you do this, please?

Hi Roy! I write an intro to my blog and invite people to read it, including the title. Then I copy the affiliate link (at the top of each blog post) and paste it. A photo comes up with the link and I post it.

Actually on LinkedIn, it sometimes doesn't work, but most of the time it does. Go figure! Ha ha!
I am not into the twitter facebook and plateforms like that. Can you please give me a run down on how to use them to leverage my nich i would very much appreciate it.

Hello Mark, hope you're doing well and I believe it's very good to ask questions, I get accused sometimes, in fun, about asking to many questions! If you don't ask, don't find out or learn!
I do use the hashtag Mark and try to tweet regularly, but probably not as much as I should, the hashtag is very useful for finding people in your niche. I guess I'm spending on average twenty minutes per day, this varies from day to day, may be I am waiting for the kettle to boil and I have a quick look at Twitter and maybe comment or send a tweet.
