Away on a tractor trailer
So...for the past week, I have been lucky enough to be away with my husband as he drives across the country in his Semi truck. There is so much that I never knew a trucker had to deal with everyday and night. I have a greater appreciation for truckers after this experience.
One thing I have learned, it that it has been difficult to keep up with the training for WA. I intend to dive back in as soon as I return home on Monday. I think I may just have to get the new iPhone 6 Plus. That was I can keep up with my work here. Any suggestions as to another way to keep up without wifi available?
Please leave comments below...miss my WA family!

Rose,
Really like your profile. I, too, was a trucker and taught my wife to drive. Turned out she was a better driver than I was. Damn bridge!
For more about same please see my profile at freedomforus.
If you or hubby ever need a shot of INSPIRATION you gotta see the video on my site at http://disabledfolks.com
Young daredevil in his wheelchair does a double back-flip after a 40 foot airborne flight. It is a MUSTSEE. Inspiration Supreme! Thanks Larry freedomforus

A tablet or laptop. I couldn't do it on a phone! What an exciting trip for you though. You could blog about it. Nice that you could be together as well. ~Debbi
Thank you Debbie. I think I will be trading up my iPad mini for the new one with a carrier, that way I can be busy always. Yes this has been a great time for us. We just got married 6/14/14 at 6:14 at a boat launch on Thompson Lake in Michgan. Hubbies last name (and mine now) is Thompson and my father, brother, and sister are laid to rest right next to the area that we were married. We didn't have a honeymoon so this is kinda one, except he is working. Thanks again for your post.
Warm regards,
Rose
Yes right to the minute...you know, 6/14/14 at 6:14...easier to remember and everyone thought the time was different so they showed up early and not late, lol. It was a beautiful day!
I'm with Kim. If you are going to be doing this more often, carry a small laptop or a tablet with you, which is easier than a phone. And you can get mobile wifi devices that go with you or just do your lessons and writing when you hit a wifi spot. All McDonalds have free wifi and many other places do, too. When we were young, hubby and I thought of doing the trucker thing. Would have been exciting, but it never worked out.
Great idea but most McDonalds we can't fit the big truck in and all the truck stops charge for wifi. I will be adding a wifi hot spot to my cell phone plan.
Thank you,
Rose
Most truck stops have wi-fi available(usually at a small cost-consider it an investment). Also, you can get a mobile wi-fi hot spot from most carriers. I am a trucker as well and I am on WA almost constantly. Well, when not driving, anyway. I'm a biker, too. Hate to hear of your misfortunes. Good luck with WA
Thanks...we ended up upgrading to iPhone 6 Plus...made it much easier. Now if we just had a WA app!
Other than using places that offer free Wi Fi, it would probably be more efficient to carry an adequate device with you if you are going to be traveling more. I know that some offers are for a free product with a small monthly fee to have Wi Fi and they are pretty reasonable depending on who you go through for a carrier and the device they may offer. Verizon just had a tablet offer for free, with a contract of course, but it was only $10.00 extra a month for Wi Fi. :))
Ho Rose.
Its tough to keep up when the whole course is on line. I frequently have no connectivity when I am travelling. I've had to learn to stay calm and enjoy the moment.
I make notes on paper and take the opportunity to capture more photos for my media library and tidy up my files.
Reading/ researching my niche in newspapers/ books/ magazines is really helpful for developing new content ideas and finding new resources.
I find the hardest part is coming back to hundreds of emails and trying to catch up on them and the webinar trainings.
It's a marathon not a sprint.
Go well from Janelle.
Great suggestions Janelle. That's my plan for the next trip. Pictures and research
Thank you,
Rose
