I have used WA keyword tool and have ranked number one for keywords. But when I check the rank on Jaaxy they aren't even in the first 200 results.. Which one is correct? How ca
Hi Chris. I know from other people asking questions about the comparisons between Jaaxy and the keyword tool, that they are generally very similar to each other. I think Jaaxy was built off from the keyword tool originally but I can't be sure. I remember someone saying that sometimes checking things using incognito mode can show different results too. I'm sorry, I don't actually know yet how to check in incognito mode but it may have something to do with why your results are so different. Try doing a 'question' search in the bar above about your question and see what others have written because I don't have the links to these offhand.
Thanks for this link Katie, I always wondered how Google searches for keywords in terms of grammatically correct vs non-grammatically correct.
it can be a risk using non-grammatically correct stuff if it does not make sense then we can get a slap off google
With all the WA Up Grade "Benefits" one should go for the $47 monthly, heck it's the cheapest Quality Education one will ever find!
my rule is you get what you pay for, so Free Jaaxy VS paid WA Tool... i am going to go with WA Tool
Hi ShanLeigh, You do have to pay for Jaaxy, it's only free for the first 30 searches. If you want to continue using it, you pay a fee. I pay for mine & I use it all the time. I love it. In terms of the free keyword tool provided with WA premium membership, Jaaxy is easier to use and according to many people who use both at WA, usually the results between them both are very similar.

Ranking kw tool here vs jaaxy. results are off?

The WA keyword tool puts quotations around your keyword. That is the exact phrase google is matching. Using the WA tool doesn't tell you where you rank in google. It shows the sites that are ranking for that exact keyword you plug in.
In short, Jaaxy is correct.

I have targeted a 50 different low hanging keywords in the fitness/health realm. I think I am going to broad. I wanted it to be like a Men's Health site covering everything. I
Jay recently had a lesson about taking a broad niche and segmenting it. In your website, have sections for loosing weight, for safe weight lifting, for exercises to strengthen specific muscle areas without weights, for small lifestyle changes that can make a big difference in ones long term health... In other words section your website to display related, narrow niches.
Do you know where his lesson is or can you provide a link? I looked at his training and can't find it1 Thanks Bill.
Chris
Do you possibly have a link to that training? I can't find it! Thanks Bill. Also what you said makes sense. Should I still be targeting lower hanging keywords in these areas? It seems like there is a small amount of traffic for keywords related to sub niches or there is going to be a lot of overlapping information.
Thanks, Chris
health and fitness is a very popular niche and you can do well with it have a look at some other sites see if there is anything they are not touching on, go to amazon and look at the best sellers in the health and fitness as well gives you an idea of what people are buying
So, to make sure I'm clear, when you talk about low hanging fruit we are refering to the keywords we use in our posts, right? Those with traffic above 50 and QSR below 100?
That's correct. These 'fruits' will help get your website on to the first page of google because there isn't as much competition on these key words.
I like MichaelBaker's response. I was in the same niche as you, except I picked the sub niche, staying fit after fifty. I may drill it down even further.
I think you might have done what I initially did, picked a niche far too broad and full of heavy weights with large budgets, so I drilled down and focused on the niche I originally wanted to focus on with much better results. FYI, I chose golf initially but came up against the Nike, Adidas etc so went back to what I know best - Golf for Seniors!
Hope this helps?
I did the same mistake as a rookie. Once I narrowed my niche down (a lot!) and infused it with lots of low hanging keyword fruits, my site started taking off.

What do I do when I have a custom theme when it comes to the 3rd step of building your website? Thanks, Chris.
its not about your theme it is where did you purchase your name domain as they will be hosting your site, if you want to move it across you need to change dns, this will help if that is what your asking WA Hosting - Setting Up Your Domain DNS
Not sure what you are asking.
You own your own theme?
If so just upload it to your WordPress website after you build it. It has nothing to do with the DNS settings.
You can use any theme you want for the initial build, then just upload yours to the website.
Theme choosing for dns point. but I have custom theme?
