Using Keywords - When was Jesus Born According to Bible

First off I would like to wish many of you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays should you not celebrate Christmas. This blog is about the use of Grammatically Correct & Incorrect Keywords. For instance the keyword, when was Jesus born according to Bible, sounds grammatically correct but by adding the word ‘the’ prior to Bible would make it more so.

GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT & INCORRECT KEYWORDS

I was having a discussion with someone explaining why Jesus was not born on December 25th based on various clues in the Bible. So it got me thinking as to how many people would search for the keyword, was Jesus born in September (see green above). The results I got back was 152 Monthly Searches, 26 Traffic and 13 was the Competition. A low hanging fruit keyword!

So I adjusted the keyword search results to show me other relevant keywords and the one with the highest monthly searches and lowest competition is, when was Jesus born according Bible (see red above). Now obviously that is not grammatically correct. I have seen many WA members ask if it is OK to use grammatically incorrect keywords, and the answer is NO and here is why.

PROJECT A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION

It is always best to project a good first impression when writing your website content. Grammar should be as correct as possible and as Kyle has stated many times in the training, keywords should be grammatically correct. So let us look at the differences in the results of my chosen keyword, displaying Monthly Searches / Traffic / Competition.

RESULTS OF DISPLAYED KEYWORD ABOVE PLUS THE WORD ‘TO’

when was Jesus born according to the Bible = 468 / 80 / 13

Obviously the most grammatically correct keyword is that last keyword with the added words, ‘to the’ and as you can see only the competition results changed. By using the last and most grammatically correct keyword you will still be found and receive the results of the grammatically incorrect keywords. This is because they are contained within the correct keyword, minus one or two words.

WHICH KEYWORD SHOULD YOU USE?

So when you find a grammatically incorrect keyword that you want to use, search for and use the correct keyword instead and you will still get the benefits of the incorrect keyword. I hope I have answered any questions you had on the use of grammatically correct and incorrect keywords.

But regardless of the truth, Christmas still should be celebrated as a holiday of the coming together of family and friends. It is the only holiday within the year where we in my family are all under one roof.

In my family we do not buy gifts for everyone. We each pick the name of a family member out of a jar at Thanksgiving, whether in person or in proxy. Then each person gives their Christmas gift list to the person that has them and we buy gifts for that one person. Almost like a Secret Santa but it is not secret. This is a fun yet inexpensive way to give and get gifts, and it also stops the receiving of gifts you didn’t ask for.
