ideally i would like to have my logo on the top of all pages, is this a word-press question?
How you do it depends on your theme and whether it has the option to add a logo.
Try this:
1. Go to Appearance → Customize.
2. Click on Site Title, Tagline, and Logo section.
3. Click on "Add Logo" to open the Media Manager.
4. Upload a new image, or select one from your Media Library.
5. Click: Set as logo. Your logo will appear in the preview window.
If the above does not work, go to Theme > Options and see if your theme has a Header section where you can add a logo.
