Boost Your Chances Of Internet Income - Keyword Research For Targeted Traffic
My previous blog dealt with two keyword tools I found and you would be wise to read it if you haven’t already done so. Here is the link:

Ok folks one more blog about keywords then you should have enough info to go it alone lol.
Finding keywords to bring good traffic to your site(s) is not as hard as you would think. All you have to do is to get rid of the mindset that any old keyword combination will do. It most certainly will not because a keyword research strategy that focuses on customer mindset is guaranteed to get you more traffic.
Fit Your Campaign Around The Keywords, Not The Other Way Around
The process for newbie website builders is nearly always something like this:
Pick a broad niche
Plug in the niche keyword
Grab the keyword results that are most similar
Create basic content around these keywords
Without exception this leads to failure and a lot of them give up. I wonder why that is?
The problem is that too many newbie marketers only look for keywords that seem to fit their idea of their niche, instead of what their target audience is actually searching for. Keywords that seem unrelated or don’t make much sense to you are very important to the topic for many of your potential customers. Therefore no keyword idea should ever be thrown out unless it’s completely unrelated to your niche.
You are all here at wealthy affiliate to make money therefore it follows that you need to be in the business of serving the customer's needs. Let the keywords that they search for be your guide to building your campaign. Don't try to fit the customer into your box.
You Must Think Outside The Box
In fact, you should throw away the box you’ve been trying to cram your customers into altogether.
Boxes are bad news in the world of SEO. If you are relying solely on a keyword tool to come up with keyword ideas, then you could hamper your business to the point where it could very well fail.
To find the best, most relevant words for your market you need to make a point of thinking like your customers thinks. This means creating a character which will be the basic version of the person that you are trying to sell to.
Think of the products and services that you are selling and work backward to figure out how the customer would arrive at your solution. And don’t forget the mobile searchers and the voice search ones as well because Long-Tail Keywords are here to stay for a very long time. These keywords WILL boost your chances of earning good money from the internet whereas the old style will maybe give you a few bucks if you’re lucky.
There you have it folks and take these tips and advice onboard or you are going to fail miserably at internet marketing.
You can leave a comment below if you haven’t already dashed off to do some keyword research, and I will reply as I always do.
Have a great day/evening.

Robert,
Great detail and well illustrated! This is what I need to get ingrained into my head and think about how to convert with the power of those chosen keywords.
Creating a character of the person that we are trying to sell to sounds interesting. How do I go about creating such a character other than getting into the mind of the customer? Need some guidance, please help!!!
Back to Jaaxy again!
Thank you and cheers, Joaquin
Hello Joaquin.
You really have to think what brought that visitor to your site in the first place.
Was it their search term?
Was it because of a broad search for the product you are promoting?
Or was it sheer luck?
9 times out of 10 in was their search term, their keywords.
So you must have had those same or very close to keywords somewhere within your site page.
As I said in the blog.
Work backwards from the product/service and think what potential customers will type into their browser.
One of my favourite ways of finding keywords is not a tool at all but to ask actual people.
I will take a product I'm promoting and ask people if it was something they wanted what exact words would they use to find it on the internet.
You would be very surprised at the replies.
I then take those replies and then I use a keyword tool. and again you would be surprised what comes up in the searches.
Personal opinion - there are far better tools than Jaaxy out there and they don't cost you a penny.
Thank you for your comment and get yourself out there and ask actual people. Friends, family complete strangers in the street if you have to coz Keywords are money in your bank account.
Robert
Thank you Robert for the extensive reply.
So, ask why are visitors looking at your site, ask and you should get keywords to search and think what will costumers type to my browser. This should give me enough to create a character who to write for. How clever is that!!!
Again your ideas are appreciated.
Cheers, Joaquin
These are two new ones I only just found.
You might like to try them. Keyword Tools When I'm within WA I always use the free tool then I try those keywords with other keyword tools for comparison purposes.

This is an awesome blog Robert, chapeau! The best tip I think is: Get in the head of your customer, what will they likely type into the Google search box
