this week for me on WA
I just want to tell you about my training and I think achievements this past week in WA. The community help is awesome, but I wish I didn't have to ask sometimes because I want to learn and take it in and understand by myself. but some of the stuff here can be a little overpowering as you start out.
I have noticed that the heavy fog is lifting, and many of the pathways I can see more clearly. Learning just the basics of WordPress and that app's capabilities is amazing, going through and seeing how the elephant in the room (Google) works and what you could potentially use, even though I did know some of it, was a little scary in one aspect.
I remember when in 2000, as my business was growing at an unbelievable pace, my Yard manager a then young New Zealand Uni grad, who was on "walkabout" brandishing his long blonde dreads, came in the office and said, "Boss just Google it"I thought he was talking Maori to me, now look at that company. that's the scary bit.
I have done my best to catch up this week as I had other commitments in the prior week, and feel it certainly helps when you can focus on the training and as many other aspects of WA, without distraction and give plenty of hours to the process, when you stop and start too much you nearly always have to revise.
The other aspect of WA that is fascinating to me is learning the new lingo and today's world's digital equivalent to sales and marketing, networking. truly an eye-opener for me, with the breakdown I had and the burnout that came with it, I have lost many years, but this training and community atmosphere coupled with my inner self's need to learn has switched me back on again, seriously I can feel the difference. Gone are the days when people and the phone lines, lined up to get my advice, now we google it or ask AI. I believe the latter would have saved me from my years of mental anguish.

Thanks for sharing your experience so far Robby. I totally understand what you're saying, and it seems to me like you're doing a great job navigating everything so far. I've worked as an IT professional for 34+ years, so I have no problem with any of the technical stuff. But there is a LOT going on here at WA, and it can be overwhelming for a while.
I imagine for someone who is not technical at all, jumping into WA and trying to learn all this stuff from scratch, would be like me (someone VERY technical) trying to learn brain surgery or quantum physics by watching a few YouTube videos! 🤣
I'm kidding, of course, but my analogy is probably not far from the truth!
Keep at it bud -- one small step at a time! Before you know it, you will have built something amazing!
I feel your pain, Robby. You keep going, that's all. You've been in business. You know what it takes. This is a little different, though. Okay, it's a lot different, but they're just tools, and it's just jargon. You will have aha moment after aha moment; before you know it, you'll be helping others through what you're going through.

Nice work Robby, you are making some good progress. The thing is, as you start to take action on complete processes, you will only become more and more proficient at these tasks.
Sometimes things that take an hour first time around, take 5 minute as you learn how to do them properly. You are doing great!
Thanks, Kyle, I even forgot to mention the Canva experience and using that in conjunction with WordPress that was a day out of my life alone! haha, I think I have a message/mail to you still waiting for a response on, But you guys are just starting out for the day
