Just an update as to my relative lack of activity this last few days. It seems even with the annual flu vaccine you can still get some versions of the flu, or the vaccine is not good for a year?
Meaning I am at the end of its annual best effects, I wonder. Anyway I can only imagine what it would have been like without the jab. It has sapped my energy, and made me sleep so much. Cranked u the vitamin C intake and I have been drinking lots of fluids, including my families “hot Toddy” drink, mine with a dash of medicinal brandy.
It seemed like the worse had passed about 3 times, only to crash and burn out after a few hours. But today the worst appears to be over, the streaming nose and itchy eyes have abated and I feel like I can concentrate again and take on a few tasks.
I guess age and flu are not a good combination!
So, for anyone I have not responded too, or other issues that may have slipped by me, I apologise.
On top of it all we lost my friend and father of my young apprentice to a stroke. Some weeks are just like that.

Robby,
It looks like we have both been away from WA with our respective afflictions.
I hope you have a full recovery soon. It sounds like you could use the strength.
My sympathy for you and your apprentices' family.

Me too Isabella, spring is in the air finally!
Trees have started to turn green. And hopefully the bugs have gone too

Good morning Rob,
I'm sorry that you have been feeling under the weather, that's not good. I do hope that you make a very quick recovery. The only good thing about feeling ill is that it makes us appreciate good health.
This probably isn't the place for me to say too much, Rob, but I haven't had any of the recent vaccines and haven't had Covid. It appears to me that people who have the vaccinations seem to suffer more. It may be worth thinking about not having the flu vaccine and letting the bodies natural immune system work. However, the main thing is that you recover fully and can get back to normality.
Wishing you all the best and a quick recovery.
