Merry Xmas or Holiday and an AI Follow up.

Hi All and before I go in to my updates and no matter what happens with our progress on WA I want to wish everyone a very merry Xmas or Holidays, whichever suits. And a happy New Year for next week.

Its been a very interesting year and although I am somewhat a newbie and my sites not yet being of any high levels of activity, with impressions and clicks etc.

I was doing great on one site and that got wiped out back in November, when I look at Google console that sites stats look like an ocean floor with a few bumps in it. But I thought no problem my other site was ticking along nicely and growing every day. But when I looked today that one has crashed as well.

Now I am sure this might have something to do with my niche and branding changes on this last site but not the prior.

So any of you that followed my post of my change of direction and if I am reading the results of my actions correctly, then the sooner you make any changes the quicker you can recover or start of on a better trajectory.

So sadly, I have to disagree with Michael’s post about Google’s nice surprises. I got the opposite.

Moving on, I was only intending on posting a follow up to Kyles post and a comment I left. This was to be posted yesterday but I got too tired. But when I saw Kyles reply it is in part similar to what I had written about below. And I am nowhere near has experienced as Kyle is, but I have found myself dealing with tasks that I had left behind for a few years.

The negative side of that is that my frequency of posts on my sites and WA has fallen off, but the satisfaction I am feeling from solving the past problems is so rewarding and it is helping me to focus in a different way, and it’s all very nearly e-commerce related, mostly because by solving the problems I can see potential in different ways.

Its not all because of AI, but AI is certainly the biggest part of it.

When I joined WA so much fell into place, but AI is taking everything I am doing, considering doing and helping others with, to a new planet.

So from here on was me following on from the comments I left on Kyle’s “a beer with Kyle” video post from Friday last, I thought I would put a few things up as a post.

Hopefully some, especially the very new members might find it interesting, and by posting it in WA it gives others the opportunity to see it too.

For me 7 months ago AI was not in my vocabulary, but without knowing it I was already using it in minor ways. Then, because my English has never been my best subject I started asking questions and Googling for “FREE” options for writing assistance apps, Because I was writing my first attempts at posts inside WA. I knew nothing about the WA article writer which even only just back then, was nothing like it is now, or any of the others. Although I had been using Grammarly for some time, which seems to have morphed into more of an AI writer tool this year, from what was a spell, grammar and punctuation app.

I remember from the training and Kyles instructions to use Bing Ai image creator for the websites logo, which I did so as to follow the class and complete the lesson. But that was about my limit of involvement.

I think this was about August time, since then AI has grown, it’s like a snowball coming down a very big and tall mountain with nothing in its way to stop it. Picking up speed and getting bigger and bigger every second.

Then Copilot pops up on my radar, and I thought that was great, at the same time there was a lot of chatter about Chat GPT 3.0, open AI, Claude and others I don’t even remember. But it was all just noise to me, I just couldn’t absorb no more AI at the same time. The amount of AI that was being used on WA picked up pace and everywhere it was showing its face, Google searches and Gemini, Bing and Copilot which is Microsoft, but then Microsoft is deeply invested in OpenAI services and it has Azure an OpenAI service, then Apple has another version of a ChatGPT, which I read is referred to as Apple GPT by insiders. It is linked to Siri, which I just found out is so true after I launched my new iPhone 16 pro, my is it a little fancy with its literal bells and whistles, Your phone lights up like a starship.

Everyday I am finding new ways to utilise Chat GPT and re-plan my intended direction in great detail.

This week I have a couple of very complex tasks I am going to try with GPT, and I am excited to see how it all turns out.
