Master Of Disaster
The Problem:
Well, well and well! Have you ever done something stupid even when you have the information not to do it?
That is what just happened to me, and it has helped me understand some things I did not! I used the Google Search Console to check for errors on my site!
The results I received were shocking! Every page had been sent to the trash bin!
Those results were bad enough, however, what is even sadder is the fact it is true.
I sent each old post to the trash, but before I did that, I made it a new page so I could place a different post on the home page of my site.
So, I then remembered that in the Gogetters Training, early on, Bo had emphasized that we were not to do this!
The solution:
Now I am paying the price for not following the training! I have to rebuild each page! Very time-consuming
The Benefit:
The training here at WA is exceptional. You will save yourself a lot of work and time by following the training to the letter!
Conclusion:
The training within WA was put in place for us to follow, and to prevent mistakes such as sending to the trash posts even if we use the same content from the post to create a new page. Do not omit even one part of the training!
Have a great day and remember, onward and upward!
John Printman.

Okay I am confused I am sorry. Yes I do remember it being said not to trash post but you had already made a new post right?
Hey, yes, I remember it being said but not before I had made a new page out of the existing post on my home page. When the content of the post was on the new page, I then sent the content of that post to the trash and made a new post. I did this with 9 times. Hope this clears things up for you.
Yes, I have to go back and rebuild each page. However, it could have been worse if I had not caught the mistake when I did.
I can feel your pain, but you have come up with the right answer. This is like a mother reminding her children to do homework. This is "follow the training" to save yourself time.
All the best.
Today was a good day to learn. It sometimes takes something like this to wake us up, but when we do we find that our perspective has changed a great deal. Sorry this happened to you and I hope that you get it sorted quickly.

Thanks for telling us your story... learning from someone else's mistake is certainly better than making your own...
Onward and upward indeed!

There you go ... good advice not taken right up there with the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I think we've all done similar things and then paid the price in time spent just to get back to where we were.
thanks for reminding us
lesson learned
good advice, John
