so i went to the website https://www.cuteseotools.net/google-penalty-checker/ which is a Goog
What were you penalized for? If it is real bad then yes scrap and start over, if it is minor see if Google will forgive and forget.
i have no idea what i was penalized for. I don't even have metrics on my site yet to tell how bad it's effecting me.

What to do if your site has already been penalized?
so i went to the website https://www.cuteseotools.net/google-penalty-checker/ which is a Goog
Ok, so here's what I did.
I have five websites. two of which, I have done absolutely nothing with. No theme, nothing.
One of these sites has a theme and only the "Hello World!" post that comes with WordPress themes.
One site I have a home page and an About Me page, and that's it.
The last site is the site I'm active on.
So, the first two with nothing on it and the one that only had a free theme installed with the "Hello World!" WordPress post ALL THREE said that they "May Be Penalized By Google"
Don't scrap your site. Begin to develop it. After a month or two, check it out then.
The results that you site is NOT returning may be the reason for that finding.
I have no idea how new your site is. I see that you've been her about a year but it sounds like you're developing a new site. It won't hurt your new site to work on it for a bit to find out if that result changes.
Good luck! I wish you the best!
this is very positive... im glad to here that other people may be experiencing this... ill keep up the work and start also developing other sites (don't put eggs in one basket). but thanks for the encouragement. im glad it could just be an error. i guess we will see in a month or so :)

If you get penalized in the past for keyword stuffing... Then what happens to the website in the future. When I first started keyword writing, I didn't understand the keyword s
That used to be the rage a few years ago but with Google and other search engines have changed that and you will be penalized heavily to the point your SEO will suffer badly so will your ranking within the search engines and may take a long time to recover even once you fix all your work to become legit with what you have to offer.
Here is a great read from one of our Members Marion Keyword Stuffing Andre
So keyword stuffing is like just putting the multiple keywords in one post?? I'll definitely check out that article
Very much so Michael, as I said back in the old days (which was only a few years ago) people, would continually stuff keywords just to get ranked with the search engines and then it was for many more to get noticed by search engines than writing for the reader.
That is why they changed and many did get punished hard some who may have been at the top of the pages )page 1) went sent to the back even past the 20-page mark or worst blocked and banned.
Keyword stuffing is also considered one of the black hat strategies which is frown upon with the search engines.
That is why we should really use the main keyword that relates to the content and write naturally for the audience.
As you write naturally Google will pick up on other keywords as long as they relate to your content and you may not even realize it but the main aim to write naturally as it is taught here in WA, without pushing the limits for the search engines.
Here is an article on Keyword stuffing from Wikipedia that can explain more in detail
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyword_stuffing
ive been trying to learn a little about keyword stuffing on alt tags and descriptions. if you just put the keyword in there with not a lot of other keywords, i don't think that would be considered keyword stuffing in the image metadata, but i still see the point of making sure it is written naturally. that's why i've been going back to my images and writing them more naturally.
Great to hear and just keep going through Kyle's training in order given regardless of how much you already may know there will always be something that may head you in the right direction towards success the correct way.
Wishing you well
Andre
Michael,
Keyword stuffing is one thing we are taught in the very
beginning about -
One Keyword = One Post
You have already been indexed with these so if you delete
them the only way you are going to be able to do it is
create all brand new content and none of it can be copied
DUPLICATE CONTENT is even worse than the keyword
stuffing in Google's eyes.
Now if you are only targeting a single keyword in each
post and that is all you have listed for that post - you
could be ok.
If you listed all the keywords you used in the post then
Google is probably not going to rank you for the actual
Keyword you wanted to rank for - this is my opinion I am
sure you will get others.
