At the moment, this applies to the use of AI in your business and particularly to ChatGPT.
Was Email Just a Passing Fad?
What has this got to do with email being just a passing fad?
Well, that was what many businesses believed when it first came out.
there were lots of marketers that ignored email marketing in its early days. They saw email as a passing fad, and carried on with business as usual.
Meanwhile their competitors started building email lists, emailing their subscribers, and scooping up the target market from their competition.
By the time those first marketers realized that email marketing was here to stay, it was too late. Their competitors were leaps and bounds ahead of them.
Will AI Be Just a Passing Fad?
The short answer is No, and if you just bury you head in the sand and hope it will go away, you'll simply be unable to keep up with the competition.
Don't be put off by the term AI. There's nothing Intelligent about it. It's not Skynet and we're not about to be taken over by Terminators.
It's a research tool and, like all research tools, it can be used well or poorly. But in either case, it means you can get a lot more accomplished in a shorter time.
You just need to learn how to use it.

I can agree about this post in terms of Al getting a rap bad because of a lot of "bad actors" that are using it for their own gain and how much harm it is for consumers when they buy something that they think is legitimate.

Yes, Phil, AI is not Skynet yet. But there is that potential, Just as there is potential that it could be the best thing humans have ever come up with next to Cheesecake. :)
Just like the wheel that led to the cart man pulled, then animals, which led to the wagon, which led to the automobile, and can be seen in machinery in the gears and pullies and so much more,
The wheel was a great invention that gave us many things and is one of the many more things that led to the industrial revolution. Then from that came even more advancements and innovations that led us to where we are today.
The potential is there for good or ill. Look at where we are today and you can see both good and bad have come the innovation of that wheel. However, I am not saying that innovations are bad, just that the potential is there.
The final note on all of this that must be said and I apologize for getting this "Most Important" item out till now. The main factor on how innovations are good or bad is "How We Use Them". Do we use them for Good or Bad? Do we use them Intelligently, looking at the ramifications Good and bad that can come from their use? Or do we just use them and hope for the best? Do we just look at the short-term effects (good or ill), or do we look at the long-term effects?
Do we look far enough into the future regarding these effects?
We can probably see that all of these factors have been in play ever since the innovation of "The Wheel".
The Wheel was a Good Thing, but have we used it, and anything that has come because of it, as wisely as we should have?

It is all true, yet we should not stop out of fear of what might be. Humanity is destroying itself little by little anyway. What if AI will help us find a more united way to live? It can happen. I stay on the positive side of this.
Using it wisely is the intent behind what I said, Andy. I do think it can be a good thing if used wisely and not abused.

As you say, it's just how you use it.
AI = we call it artificial intelligence but the only true word is
artificial. Have we ever called an encyclopedia "Intelligent"?
Never, because everybody knows that is a collection of data inserted by human beings. And who has inserted the data that
make up AI in its complex human brains or have we to consider the hypothesis fantascientific that the machine has elaborated the data by virtue of an intelligence developed autonomously independent from the original creators? this is
the fantascientific idea that troubles the mind od the inventors themselves when facing anwers beyond their personal knowledge... is the machine overcoming mental creative capacity ..,?
Indeed Phil! I believe AI is here to stay. The government should just put some guardrails in place. Even with that, there would always be unscrupulous minds that will mess it up, as they always do. We just have to be vigilant about it.
Update on my case study ( Remember I made an entire article that was AI generated, and posted it in my website. A week had passed by, it has not been indexed yet ( as I usually get results a week after my post). Let’s give it another week then I am taking it down, as I don’t want to be penalized for it.

That's interesting, Maria. I wrote 3 blog posts today and all were indexed within a couple of hours. The first drafts were all created by ChatGPT.
Most of my previous articles, that I wrote got indexed, even with some product reviews. My first one even landed on the first page of Google, Bing & Yahoo.
I don’t ask my posts to be indexed. It just gets indexed on its own. So we shall see about it. Maybe I didn’t prompt AI rightly about the keywords? Can not remember? I am giving it a week.
I got index with my MMO website ( that I don’t care to be indexed). Still waiting for the AI generated post. I’m getting impatient Phil. That’s been such a long wait !😵💫😠🤔
