If You Haven't Got a List, You Haven't Got a Business
If You Haven't Got a List, You Haven't Got a Real Business
This might seem a harsh statement, especially if you're starting out with affiliate marketing and are starting to make some affiliate commissions.
But the question you need to ask yourself is where will your business be in a year's time?
If you are then doing exactly the same thing - hustling for new customers all the time and not taking advantage of your previous satisfied customers BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE, then you've got issues.
All real businesses have repeat customers. Customers that will buy more stuff from you if you keep in contact with them and treat them right.
That's why experienced internet marketers say "the money's in the list".
But How to Get One?

This Posting is right on Point, I struggle with list building for a long time because of so many shiny ball offers claiming to bring You fast results and You find yourself spending more money on hope selling up sales.
I found out that most of those so call ideas were already online and they wouldn't cost
You anything except your time and Willing effort to Learn those skills. Big Thanks and Blessings for WA family.

Hi there, Phil.
Thanks for sharing this thought-provoking post. This is exactly what many newbies, including yours truly, struggle with. Sometimes, when juggling so many hats, it easy to overlook all of the above Facts.
I still don't have much of a list after 1 1/2 + years in the online business world. Needless to say, I just recently started an account with AWeber. Let's see how many fish I catch this go round.
Thanks for drilling it home - if we haven't got a list, we haven't got a business.
How long does it take to accumulate and can you link me to one of your training or PM me?
Yours truly,
Rachele

Good morning Phil,
Thank you for the list of useful training, it's appreciated. There is so much training on this platform, it's unbelievable! I have bookmarked your post, Phil!
Out of interest, what list builder do you use, please? I use Aweber, but I know there are many others.
Have a great day.
Roy
I use Active Campaign, Roy, because it allows me to build complex logic paths based on tags, but both AWeber and GetResponse are fine.
Thank you, Phil, I must admit I haven't heard of Active Campaign, but it sounds good!
When I first signed up for an auto responder Aweber and GetResponse appeared to be the main providers.
Have a great day.
Roy
Yes they are for most people. Active Campaign is a little more complex.
I guess you started with one of the other auto responders and moved up to Active Campaign?
I've had both AWeber and GetResponse in the past but was no longer using an autoresponder when a colleague recommended Active Campaign. I tried it, liked it and have been using it ever since, However, the tool isn't as important as the rest of the logistics that feed it.
Thank you, Phil, that's interesting! It's amazing what's available to help to make our lives easier and to promote our business.
We were able to import your lists from the auto responders to Active Campaign?
Yes, all the autoresponders have an import/export facility.
Thank you, Phil, that's good to know. I thought they would have that feature, although, I have heard stories from several years ago that they made it quite difficult to take your list with you. Hopefully, that's all changed now!
You export your list from the old autoresponder as a csv file and download it. Then import it into the new autoresponder. There might be a bit of work equating fields with different names. Depending on your computer experience, you could find that easy or "quite difficult".
Thank you for the info, Phil, that's appreciated! I must admit I am not the best with Excel, but I will face that problem when it comes to it!
Have a great day.
Roy
Although Excel can read csv files, the import/export process doesn't use it al all.
