The Money is in the List

How many times have you heard that?

It's totally and absolutely true.

If you have a monetized website, you must create a list of customers and their email addresses so that you can email them again with new offers. An existing customer is 90% more likely to buy from you than a new prospect.

An existing customer is the only person you can request a testimonial from. And testimonials are your best weapon for building trust.

And, unless you're dropshipping or selling your own product (which pretty much means you're an an affiliate marketer) your list is your only asset if/when you want to sell your business.

All you need in your list is your customer's name (even just their first name) and their email address. But how do you get them and where do you store them? This takes us into the wonderful world of opt-ins, landing pages and autoresponders. All will be revealed in this article.

Another issue is creating the follow-up email series.

if you mean the content, yes. Same as creating blog posts, though.

The technicalities are trivial. Your autoresponder provides the trigger and templates.

PLR's seem excellent starting resource for e-book and other writing challenges.

The problem is finding a reliable, updated, expert plr on the subject of the article.

I don't trust much those plr sites that offer thousands of articles for $10. Or that have dozens of niches. No expertise on any given niche?

How do I access plr sites that are really reliable sources?

Three that I like and trust are:

Tiffany Lambert
Arun Chandrun
JR Lang

I'm sure there are others.

The others you refer to can be ok for evergreen subjects. Anything current will be out of date.

Also expect a fair bit of editing to fix grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors.

Yep, bit of spelling: it's Chandran not Chandrun.

Just being humoristic, life can't be taken that serious.

Gave a quick visit to those sites. Seem good. Will take a closer look.

Thank you for the recources.

May you have a very profitable life span.

Thanks, Antonios. I'm a stickler for correct spelling, syntax and grammar so I really appreciate your picking that up for me.

BTW, it's resources not recources. :-)

Thanks, Jeff. A lot of WA members either don't understand the importance of a list or don't know how to build one.

I have a question for you. When I create a tutorial, I don't see any way to categorize it, so all my training comes up as Uncategorized. Can you help?

I wish that I could, Phil, but I haven't created a tutorial yet.

You might ask Aussiemuso (Lily) who has created a great many of them! Sorry!

OK thanks. I questioned it in Live Chat with no response other than variations on IDK. I was going to Site Support next but I'll PM Lily first. At least we're in the same time zone.
