Automate Everything!
Automate Everything!
Hey, what do you think of my steam punk dragonfly robot?
I do love AI-generated images. This one was created by Adobe Firefly. It's a great example of total automation.
I have zero artistic skills but I can write the text to describe what I want.
In this case, "steampunk dragonfly robot" and then the AI automation takes over and produces exactly what I want. Actually, it created 4 images and I selected the one I liked best. How cool is that?
Automate Your Visitor's Experience
The big advantage of automating your visitor's experience is that, once you've put it in place, you can focus ALL of your efforts on driving traffic, secure in the knowledge that once your visitor click on something, your automation will take over.
I've just had that lesson brought home to me.
I decided to revamp an old site.
First up, I changed the home page so that the first thing the visitor sees is a Lead Magnet that is all about the site's niche, so that my top priority is building the email list.
This is followed by three featured products (two affiliate products and the other a registration of interest in a training course I'm developing) each in a sub-topic related to the site's niche.
Then I recast each product being promoted on the site (and there's a lot of them) as a template so that I can swap any of them in and out of the front page as a featured product with minimal effort.
But...
As I examined each product page, I discovered that many of them had free gifts that involved giving away my own personal time (for example, as a mentor) and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that this was NOT something I wished to do.
Fortunately (I guess) these were neglected product pages with zero promotion and so hadn't been discovered by visitors.
I've now replaced all of them with either free downloadable product or other complementary products (People who bought X also bought Y and Z).
Autoresponder Automation is Your Best Friend
I haven't finished all the product page updates yet but, when I have, I'll revamp the site's autoresponder automation so that it leads the subscriber through all of the products being promoted.
Interspersed, of course, with more giveaways to keep them interested.
Then, with total automation in place, I can focus exclusively on driving traffic.
Season's Greetings
A joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year to my many friends and acquaintances at Wealthy Affiliate!

Hi Phil!
So the secret to success is...
Learn quickly but write all the time, or
Write quickly but learn all the time, or
Learn and write quickly and break things as you go!
When I see successful people such as yourself, it seems that the right answer might be to write, try things break things, and try some more.
What does all this mean in the context of your post?
I have been advised to not worry about it, just keep writing. But... if it's not working? Don't worry it will work itself out.
I am wondering if a better strategy is to slow down, learn then speed up?
As I keep saying there are sooo many moving parts!
I am just trying to figure out how to get traffic to my site.
And making my writing more compelling.
And creating great videos.
And creating great social media posts.
I haven't started even THINKING about email lists yet!
Yet this is something I need to do in the context of creating great workflows. Which is really what it's all about, right?
Absolutely, Michael.
Creating workflows is what I'm applying to this old site.
And what I'm unpicking is stuff that I originally thought was a good idea, but don't any more.
That's just learning curve, and we're all on it.
So once you get through the initial learning curve, is it better to spend a little more time to learning and trying things and less time writing ?
I don't really have any hard and fast rule on that. I just do what I most feel like doing at the time,
Sometimes that's creating content (including Lead Magnets) and sometimes it's sitting back and watching a video or attending a webinar.
I think it depends on the individual.
I have 2 questions regarding images created in the AI platforms.
1. Once the AI platform has rendered an image, is that image mine to keep and use, free of cost and copyright?
2. What are the chances of any other AI platform rendering the exact image I requested from ChatGPT 4?
You may have covered this in one of your many videos on your profile, but I quickly forget what I picked up as I watch several videos each and every day.
I had ChatGPT 4 render the perfect image for my camping guide website. It couldn't have been better. It fits the name of my website perfectly.
It's my understanding that the rendered images are copyright free. You've used a service to create them, not copied them from somewhere else.
I would think that the chances of an image being duplicated are vanishingly small There are simply too many variables. I've had three AI platforms create images from the same description without them even being similar.
Good news about your camping website.
I'm really looking forward to traffic-focus for this site. I believe it has enormous affiliate commission potential.

Thank you Phil for sharing and explaining these updates for your website. It makes it all so crystal clear! Your expertise seems to know no bounds 😊 but the best part is you're always willing to share with us. Are you in Melbourne yet? Wishing all of you a joyous Christmas as well and a prosperous 2024!!🎄
Alice
Thanks, Alice, it's a big job and I'm still in the middle of it but it's going to be a massive improvement to the site. I want everything in place so I can focus on traffic in the new year.
Heading down to Melbourne on Christmas Day.
Queensland has been in our local news lately with the cyclone Jasper then the more recent flooding that has been occurring there. We occasionally get similar weather here on the Gulf Coast so I know how destructive that can be. Have a safe trip to Melbourne!
The flooding has been incredible, with some places getting a meter of rain in a couple of days. Even Cairns international airport was an island for a while.
The locals, bolstered by the SES, police and army have done a fantastic job. No loss of life reported, though I understand an 85 year old man is missing in a remote community.
No effects here, of course. It's a couple of thousand kilometers away from me.
Given the scope of the weather disaster going on there, it's amazing to hear no loss of life reported thus far. That's a testament to the professional services and the sheer will of the people! Bravo! Happy to hear you're far away from it.
I just heard on the news tonight that crocodiles have been seen in some of the floodwater that has joined up with overflowing river systems. Some have been caught and relocated.
Yikes! I'm sure the crocodiles are loving all this extra water to thrive in, LOL! Glad to hear they're being brought back to their habitat. We don't have crocs here but rather their cousin, the alligator. We have lots of alligators in the southern marshes and rivers because, of course, they love the warm, sub-tropical weather, especially down in Florida.
Here's something you probably didn't need to know. The Australian salt-water crocodile (salty) is the largest living reptile on the planet.
The largest crocodile ever recorded in Australia measured 6.4 meters (21 feet) long and weighed approximately 2,000 kg (4,400 lbs).
Not something you'd want to meet in the floodwater lapping the front of your house!
😳 HOLY MOLY!! That is enormous!! We've had some big alligators around here (10-12 feet) few hundred pounds but nothing that big!! Are they bigger than the Komodo dragons in Indonesia?? Well at 21 feet, I'd imagine they are, wow! Yeah no, I wouldn't want that floating around my front door 😁
Yep, they're an apex predator.
Fascinating lesson! I always learn from our conversations :)
This one's a basic, simple lesson. Don't swim with crocs!
HaHa! Noted! 👍
aaaaccckkkk on the crocs!
take care, Phil :)
No crocs where I am, Teri. Well, other than at Australia Zoo!
