Amazon Finally Delivers
Yep, Amazon has finally delivered on its threat.
All the Image and Text+Image links on my demo coffee site are now broken.
Text links are still working.

So my next task is to try out various options to fix these issues and then post screen capture videos as training here at WA.
I've already tried one and it didn't work, so I've submitted a support ticket and I'm waiting on a reply now.

It had to happen eventually, better late than never in Amazon's eyes!!
I've checked my one website that promotes Amazon products and found that all AAWP images and links are still functioning okay. But. I have a couple of posts where I inserted images using GenerateBlocks ads and they are no longer function.
Anyway, that's what it is today. Who knows what tomorrow may bring!!

AAWP is one of the alternatives I'll try, Val. It's just that I'm doing Lasso first and currently waiting on the response to a support ticket.
Fair enough, Phil. You need to be as confident as possible that you're moving in the right direction.
I had a problem with AAWP in 2022 when I hadn't had sufficient sales of products on some posts. Amazon removed images and links It was most disturbing! How can anyone improve a situation when the promotional items have been removed!!
The whole Amazon thing is a classic Catch-22. You're not doing well enough to we'll remove the things you need to improve!
That's it, Phil!! Like a toddler who has toys whipped away rather than help them!! Perhaps not a great comparison, but that's how I felt when I first saw the words "No Products" in place of the product images.
It’s no surprise that Amazon followed through on making their affiliates lives more difficult/miserable!
Having spent a ton of money on Lasso, I am happy to say it is working great. One click conversion of all links/images.
If I didn’t have so many links, I would have opted for a much more affordable option.
Could you please go through the procedure you used, Jenny?
I used the Lasso Import feature and it seemed to work as it was supposed to but when I checked the Amazon links, they were all still broken.
I've lodged a support ticket with Lasso, but if I can gain any insight from your experience, that would be most helpful.
I used the lasso import feature too. I gave it a day to do its thing.
It didn’t seem like it worked because all of my images looked the same.
I contacted support and they assured me the Lasso code is in place.
I was under the impression that all Amazon images would convert to lasso display images.
But, that’s not true, only image + text converts to their display box.
Amazon images remain the same, but with a Lasso code.
I only have a few image + text, and they are converted to the lasso display.
I checked my image only ones and they have the lasso code.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks, Jenny, yes it does but it sounds less than perfect.
I would expect the conversion to be instant and for both Image and Text+Image broken links to be fixed.

I haven’t really played around with lasso too much yet, but it does alert you to any Amazon products that are out of stock, so you can easily change the link. As well as any broken links.
But, their instructions and initial video was not explained very well and kind of misleading.
I have already adapted a few pictures and WP tasty works fantastic. Did you have a look at that one?
It's on my list, so I certainly will, Lizzy. Does it provide 1-click conversion of all your existing broken links?
No, its link by link. If I would write a review, that would be a con, especially if your site has 100ds or thousands links. I can do with that, cause i havent used a lot of their images

I wanted to thank you for taking the time to get this information out and putting forth the effort to monitor changes at Amazon.
Your attention to changes at an affiliate site that many newer affiliate marketers will be interested in makes me feel like experienced AMs in the WA community are thoughtfully sharing their expertise with and looking out for newer affiliate marketers like myself.
