up to lesson 6 in Bootcamp 2 - this bit must have escaped my attention.....Allan

Thanks Jen.....how about the Robot Meta ,Title Attribute(???) Menu Label(?) etc....thanks.....Allan

Hi, don't worry about those things, as Kyle said. The only important ones you need to fill in are the Title, Description (although your first few sentences will show up in the Description,) and of course, the keywords. Where are you up to now with the courses?

Well, I am not sure if I am doing it right. If I don't put the the title and the description and key words in those boxes then it doesn't show up on my SEOs if I am doing it wrong someone please tell me. I hope this helps.
Brenda

Hi, Kyle has already talked about this before, I'm sure it's in the 1st Course. You need to put the title as it will show up in Google. With the description, you can leave it blank, as the first few sentences of your content/page will appear as your 'descriptions', unless you want to change your descriptions entirely, it's up to you. If so, you'll need to fill the description box. Re keywords, this is a must. These keywords are the words that visitors most likely will type in the google search box when they search for the niche that you've got. Hope I've helped.

Thanks

I'm not exactly sure what your talking about. Are you referring to your website?

When editing a page from my website if you scroll down there are a number of headings with a box next to each (Title, Description, Keywords, Robots etc) that can be filled in or ticked - do I need to do this?.....thanks.....Allan

2 Red lines

Thank you Wendy & Mark - I'll look into it.....Allan

Those are just part of the default favicon on WordPress sites. A favicon is basically an icon logo you can use to brand out your website that will appear in the left corner of the tab. Any wordpress site will by default have the little logo with a blue top and the 2 veritcal red lines. You may have an option within your theme settings to change this to something more personal if you want.

Hi - yep that's exactly what it is.

If you want to change it, just upload a file called "favicon.ico" to the root of your website. You can generate one from your logo if you have one, from this tool: http://favicon-generator.org/

All the best, Mark

I'm not sure where you are seeing these 2 lines on the Google tab. Could you be more specific? Try and hover your mouse over the lines and see if anything pops up and tells you what they are for.

I'm using Google Chrome - first off my website and sign in admin area would not load up and I got an 'opps' message from google and I noticed the 2 red lines on the right side of the tab at the top of the page to the left of the title (Income From Your Computer) - the 2 lines are verticle on the right side of the small logo that appears - eventually, after many tries my site came up but the lines have remained. I did check if was my internet connection and other sites were loading ok....????

Page order

HI, it depends on what you want to edition in your Home Page. If you want to edit just your About Me, then go to that page, etc. Unless you want to change the image of your heading, then go to "Heading'.

Thanks that 's worked ok - how do I edit the 'Home' page?

This is the page that came with your theme? If so, then click on appearance (left side), and select customize. From there you can select it as a post or static page, set Title and Tag Line, change colors, setup Navigation, add a background image etc. I hope it helps.

I do what Wayne suggested and I put them into a menu and then just drag and drop them in the order that I want them https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wordpress-dashboard-tutorial-menu

Hi Allan, page order can be set by opening page attributes on the right sidebar while in page edit mode. Just put the page number you want in the order box. I hope it helps.

have you created a custom menu? you can set the order there. Or if you are just using pages, you can set the order in the page settings on the right.
