Hello all! :) My name is Wendy and I guess here is where I'm supposed to share my story....

After high school I did what any other kid who wants to better themselves would do, I went to college. I went even though I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life.. I was brainwashed into the mentality that there were NO other acceptable options. I just assumed I'd figure it out along the way like many others do.

Long story short, 5 years later I ended up with a bachelor's degree and still had no idea where my life was going. After graduating I worked jobs here and there, but nothing I really wanted to be doing for the rest of my life.

I was really depressed and didn't know what I was going to do. One day I woke up and decided I needed to do something, anything... So I started searching how to make money online. I remember reading a review for an online program that seemed so much different than all the rest. It seemed...real. I decided to give it a chance.

That program? It was Wealthy Affiliate.

Now here I am, a year and a half later and I am doing what everyone dreams of doing. I'm making consistent income online. I learned it actually IS possible to do this.

I can honestly say WA is the one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I am forever thankful for Kyle and Carson, and everyone here that makes this place so awesome. I couldn't have done it without all your help, and I am here trying to give back to the community to the best of my ability.

Wendy,

You invited me to contact you if I needed help in the future. I need some help, now. I'm not sure if you can help me, but I'm contacting some of the most experienced WA members to maybe get connected to someone who can check my thinking on a problem I have.

There are many details and nuances to the story of how I came to be in this jam, but I'll try to cut to the chase.

I got involved with a program that's doing business as JobKilling.org. With what I see now as a deluded set of expectations, I ended up signing a promissory note for $399/mo, which is killing ME instead, financially. I'm ashamed of the decision I made. I'm about to send them an email saying that I want to end the arrangement, but I just need someone to give me advice, warnings, ideas about what's right to do in this case, hopefully before I have to send that email. I feel like I could make a case for being scammed, but really it boils down to the legal issue of me having signed a promissory note with attending ramifications. Perhaps someone could advise me on how to negotiate an amicable end of the relationship.

Don't feel obligated in any way to offer advice--I'm just trying to share with others I respect and use anything I learn to handle this the right way. It may even be inappropriate to bring this up with another WA associate, but I'll value any perspective or advice.

Thanks,
James

Hi Wendy
I have 2 sites in mind; one that I will upgrade when I go premium in the next few days (my BIG idea) and one I want to keep on the free side to experiment..the one on the free side...for large runners. Being a big runner, we are different than the smaller folks who fly past us..that is my big sweaty beast site..

Hi Wendy,
I am working through lesson 4 and you are right - 'what is my niche?'
I enjoy writing rhyming stories and funny limericks and my initial idea was to start building a web site around this. Not too sure about the web-site layout, however and the content of the site is a worry too. Also, I have self published a children's rhyming story (ebook) on Amazon and would love to promote this on my web-site. Do you think this is a good idea?
Would love your thoughts on the idea and any other niche ideas you think would be worth developing.
Thanks for your help.

HI Wendy

Really relate with and like your website. My mother was right at 6'. My oldest sister is right at 6'. my sister under me is about 5' 10 or so, sister under her only about 5' 9 and the youngest girl is only 5'2 and me I am 5'3. My oldest daughter is like 5'10 and my father, my two brothers and both my sons well over 6'. being only 5'3 i did not struggle for clothes to fit neither did my youngest sister but my mother and my three other sisters all did. I am following you

Hi Wendyjane! I am doing some quick work and have to leave soon but I am going through the training again and again I am up against a wall. I was looking at Kyle's "How to Lose Belly Fat Today" as it was being used as an example in the lesson. It says to leave a message below but I can see no comment section. What's up with that? Thanks

Hey Celeste, I am not sure what you mean are you referring to on his actual website? I took a look and was able to see the box to leave a comment ... so maybe it was a glitch or browser issue. Is it still not showing up or am I misunderstanding what you're referring to?

I am rereading the course and am in Lesson 1 near the end where there is a link to "howtolosebellyfattoday.com" (I think I remembered that correctly). It says to leave a comment below and I can't see where. This is his actual website and it may be a browser issue--how would I fix it? I remember when I started my site I could not see such a box then either. I thought it may have been the particular theme...I am lost.

If it's a browser issue you could try using a different browser to see if it fixes it. I also know some themes are weird about the comments but when I go to Kyle's site I do see the comment section.

Although, something to note is if there are already comments left on the article, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the comment section in order to see the box to leave a comment. It is an annoying thing but just how WordPress websites are set up by default.

Thanks for your reply. I have looked at my own website homeswimspas.com and found that if I click on the word 'comment' it takes me to a comment section and a place for the commenter to leave a name and email address. However, I still cannot find Kyle"s comment area even after having switched browsers. At the end of his post, where he says,"leave a comment below" there is the copyright info and his word press theme. I didn't even know what a browser was so I guess I learned something, But I just don't get the "leave a comment" thing and then see no place to do it!
