How do you insert a WA tutorial link in the comment thread? There are times when I want to respond to a question or conversation by pointing persons to a WA training but do not

The url would be at the top, in your browser address bar.

Hi Jean. it is not the URL I want, but the direct link for the tutorial.

Ok. The problem is I do not know where to find the link. I may know where the topic was covered in the course and can find the lesson, but not the link for that lesson (not the url)

Click on the training you want then on the top of the page you will see a button that looks like a small chain that's your link for that training

Thanks very much. I also found another way too. After finding the topic I want (in the Search bar), I right-clicked on it, copied linked address, and paste. Here is an example: So many times I wanted to help persons but didn't know how to point them to the lesson. Thanks again for your feedback.

Just copy the link of your choosing and paste it into your comment.

I am thinking of adding a page of baby quotes and jokes on my site http://babiesplaytime.com for the lighter side of things. Since these quotes and jokes would be a complicatio

Hi, as far as I am aware, anything published before 1923 in the U.S. is in the public domain and can be used for any purpose, but it is still worth checking the CCO license, although this may differ in the country where you reside.
For instance, J. M. Barrie's "Peter Pan" may be in the public domain in the U.S. but is still copyrighted in the U.K. until 2023 and whether this would infringe on the intellectual property of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, to whom it was granted, is open to question.
Adding attribution doesn't necessarily mean that you have the author's permission or legal right to use it.
There is a rule called the "Fair Play Rule" which allows you to use any quote you wish providing you are not infringing the author's intellectual property. In other words, you are not selling their work for personal profit.
There are other quotes and publications that have been placed in the public domain by their authors that can be used for any purpose, but some still do require attribution. As always do due diligence before taking the plunge. It could save you a lot of heartache.
Please don't quote me! I am not a lawyer or skilled in intellectual property or corporate law, just something i have picked up over my time on the internet. The attached image may help. Best wishes, hope this helps.

Thank You Harry for this and the attachment. Really clarified the issue for all of us. I think , as you point out, if not 100% sure about legally using the quote, then don't. It will prompt all of us to come up with our own!

Thanks Harry, my plan is to always make reference to the author. I plan to do my research. I will take my time with this one.

I have some popular quotes too I want on my site. I want to be honest and give credit to their author(s). So before I include them, I will be researching them first. If I can't find anything certifiable, I think I just might skip it - I don't want legal trouble later on.

You are right. I think I will use that approach too Mary.

Put the quotes in parenthesises ie "joke". I have been told by WAers that Google doesn't read between them. That way you can easily put your own stuff in too.

So I just found out Helen. Thanks.

So, I ran into a similar problem not too long ago I had the same problem with instructions to the product in my niche and instructions are instructions and they are definitely duplicate content.

I can tell you that I read somewhere(not very helpful, but I breezed through the article a while ago and don't remember the url, sorry) that if you put the quotes or jokes, in an image, using an image editing platform like canva which is free.

Google sees it as an image which is the alt text that you use for the image, which could be optimized for seo as long as it's not "keyword stuffing" you would be good.

This will also allow you to write paragraphs in between with original content that you can produce so not to make your websites climb to the top, harder than it should be by being penalized.

Hope this helps and if not, that you will find your solution from somewhere in this community, good luck.

Yes it helps. Wasn't thinking of images but I will have to work with the Big Boss, Google

You can use the "quote" button, but I always prefer to show this sort of quotes as pictures, you can make this in https://pixlr.com.
Start a new image, make it transparent, add your text and save as png file, then upload it to your website

So even though the words are not original having them on a picture, should do the trick? For example here is one: "A new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities." (Eda J. Le Shan)

Google is not that clever it can read words on pictures yet:)

Ok. LOL. Thanks for the advice. I won't tell them what you say about them. It is our secret.

;)

When I transferred my siterubix website (http://babyatplay.siterubix.com) to my own domain (

Could be that your home page is static, in which case it may not change to the new domain name. Try customizing your theme if it supports a static page, it may not work but it's worth a try. Best of luck, hope this helps.
Like your website BTW.

Thanks Harry. Yes my theme supports a static front page, but I had customize it with the new site title. That resulted in the changes being seen in all pages and posts, but on the home page.

Hi, If you have a button "Your Latest Posts" try clicking on that instead of "A Static Page" but keep "Home" as your front page. It's worth a try, you can always revert back.

Hi Harry. My setting is on "Your Latest Posts" but I just realize that I don't have a page named "Home" in the list of pages, and that the home page (in menu) really is named "Baby At Play." I realize this as I was clicking from page to page. It would seem that I would need to find the home page and rename it "Home" instead of "Baby At Play." Now to scratch my head to see how that is done. Any suggestion? Otherwise I will just let it be.

Hi, it's worth a try. On your dashboard bring up your pages and click on "Home" or "Baby at Play" whichever shows. When it comes up as text if it shows "Baby at Play" in the title, delete it and change to "Home". Update the page, go to Menu, delete "Baby at Play" and insert "Home" at the top of your Menu drop down.
If it works you can then make your home page static if you want too. Best of luck.

Hi Harry. The page is already named "Home." The problem was that the siterubix home title was "Baby At Play." Even though I changed to my own domain and renamed the title in customization, the Web Page Title did not change. Seem not to be a big issue, so I will not give myself too much headache over it right now. Thanks for you help.

When I click on your link I get ( babies playtime ) as your title on your home page. Good looking website keep it up.

Hi Johnson, thanks for your feedback. It is not the title on the home page that I am referring to, but the Web Page Title.

Happen to see this. You can change the web page title under All in one SEO - General Settings - Page Title.
