When in Doubt, Go With Gratitude.
I was introduced to WA a month and a couple of days ago. I was instantly excited about the idea of having a website. Having previously daydreamed of owning a website and also possessing limited tech skills, part of me acquiesced to the fact that I wouldn't attain one.
Then I started this training....
Willing to commit 1 hour after work each day, I am spending 3 to 5 hours a day for the most part. This is, I have to say, great relief from the looming seasonal depression that tends to show up this time of year when the days are short and cold and my barn time is limited to weekends in between blizzards. I am grateful to have something that inspires me even if for now I am unable to see the potential of firing up my computer each night.
And the learning of something new. This is huge for me. I am a perpetual student and need continual education to thrive. There are ideas and subjects that I struggle with; tech being the big one!
However, the more time I spend within the Wa-verse, I am finding a community of people that not only will answer questions, but will also point you in a direction for further engagement and research. Not to mention the literal step-by-step training provided.
Can I leave you with a resent little success? Recent as in an hour ago? I had been feeling a little discouraged lately at my lack of responses to my posts. What could I do to keep motivated? Honestly, the idea of having writing this blog as my next step was a little anxiety inducing. I had written a sticky note to myself a while ago that only had 3 words, "Turn Computer ON". That was it. Just turning to computer on led me to the next step in my training and now here we are and I am grateful.
Just keep turning it on,
Olivia

Hi Olivia,
A big welcome to WA you really are in the right place with so many awesome people to help you out along the way.
I have only been here for about 5 months and am just starting to see some returns on the work I have put in to my site, so please don't be to disappointed as it is still early times.
As Simone (Newme202) mentioned just keep being consistent with writing quality content.
You also have the option of requesting comments on your website posts.
Wishing you success Olivia.

Your website post?
If that's what you are referring to, it is too early to receive traffic (visitors) to your website :)

Keep being consistent
And you will reap the benefits of your hard work

Hi Olivia
Yes, there's a lot you can learn here.
Once you get past the techy stuff, writing becomes the biggest teacher of all.
The research needed for consistent writing is ideal for the perpetual student!
