I retired after 20 years! I'm restless and not ready to be put out to pasture yet lol. I have a daughter that is successful in business and 3 grandkids. I'm 64, I have a year to go to collect my pension. So, in the meantime, I'd like to fill my free time making money. But mostly, I'd like to do something I like!
Enjoying what one does makes all the difference in the world. I have a bucket list as I'm sure you all do as well. I scratched off Parachuting, was awesome! I was very close to attending Poulsbo school of arts, unfortunately... I wasn't making enough money at the time. Still on the list. I grew up with a love of airplanes, still don't know why. I went to sign up for the Air Force when I was 18, boyfriend stopped me, so I got married and had a daughter. Wouldn't change that for the world.
I grew up fishing on the Kalama River every weekend at 4 A.M. with my father and 6 other siblings. I'm now just wanting a cabin on the river far away from Covid. New bucket list.
I found my Niche today!!! I'm so excited!!! It's truly one of those that I've been affected by my whole life, so I'm incorporating it into my website. Wow, it was sitting right in front of this whole time. :) I'm hopeful for everyone out in the community to find success and happiness.
OH...did I say I love gardens and I make a killer salsa every year? I usually give it all away, that is a passion. Love, Love corn.

Hi, Sherry--looks like you and I have a couple things in common. I'm only semi-retired, but I come from a large family, too (I'm the eldest of 6 children) and I, too, am looking for another income source until I turn 65 in a couple of years. I have a feeling that by that time, the income I'll be getting thanks to WA will make my Social Security unnecessary ;-)

You can still take your SS because you have already paid all of the tax on it. Keep it, you earned it!
You can earn a massive new amount of money too.
I think there is a form when you go over the limit, +60,000 and small fine/fee? of $6000 at what age, check this, sky is the limit will be coming by then you should also have LLC to protect personal assets, and llc you buy the supplies you need to reduce taxable amount, educate self.

Pay attention since it is new year, new info will be given to you according to your age about new income limits you could make. That would be a first thing to collect/ study.
Then just be learning about LLC's which you do not need now, there are all kinds of extra charges, California would be worst! CA charges not getting it created there, but if you needed to use it there, because you may live there. And it is better than a Corporation, as you do not want your salary taxed twice. And different kinds too, according to your needs.
There are books to familiarize yourself with the differences
They are created in any state, Wyoming gives you the most lack of transparency.
Note, I know nothing of money from other countries, but for US, it's a good CPA.
Prepare with education, mindset, focus, expectation.
