My first ever affiliate sale!
Today I got my first ever affiliate sale!
I only started blogging about 2/3 months ago and it's only in the last 2 weeks that I have been adding affiliate links to my blog. I use a mix of programs, mainly Amazon affiliates but also Awin and Webgains.
My blog is about gardening, so at the moment there aren't too many high value items advertised, but I'm not expecting to make any sales for a few months. For now I'm just filling up my blog with content and learning how to place affiliate ads into my posts. It's still very much a learning process and very early days.
This morning I went through all my affiliate programs to see if I could add any more affiliates and to my surprise....there was a sale!!!
Ok, so I only made £1 for a £20 sale, but I am soooo happy! I never expected anybody to see my ads, even less to click on them! I'm really surprised. Now I'm thinking, if I can get a sale this early in my blogging history, this is very encouraging!
So I thought I'd share this with you because it means that this really works!
I'm just going to keep going and working hard at implementing all I have learned here and I just KNOW that this is just the beginning of a great opportunity!
