Going all in!
Three days after signing up for WA, I've decided to quit my day job and focus all my time and energy on building this business and finishing up my first novel! With the start of a new year (and this new year having such auspicious beginnings), I decided to not waste any effort or energy on a job that no longer serves me or brings me joy/pleasure/satisfaction. I'm taking a big leap of faith and trusting that the universe has a safety net waiting for me after the jump.
My last day of work is Sunday! Sending positive vibrations to the rest of the WA community!

LOL thank you, if you could see me now--I'd be blushing! :) It's been the best decision quitting my job, I've gotten a lot healthier (no more cigarette smoke or shots at the bar!) and I've really been working at WA full time. Cutting out restaurants and aimless shopping at the mall has totally been worth it!
Some people laugh when I say that a JOB stands for Just Over Broke, but I think that maybe you get it Nicole. You remain my hero, you are thinking and stepping outside the box:-)
I didn't make your day ... you did Nicole! I'd love an advanced signed copy please, let me know what I need to do :)
So happy for you!!
Eric
thank you...it had been a long time in the making. I hated my job within the first week so once things fell into place, quitting was natural. Thanks for reading :)
A lot can be accomplished in one year. I too, did something similar and it worked out for the best. Stick to it and you will make it happen. Good luck!
im glad to hear someone else has had success doing the same thing. cutting back on eating out and trips to micronesia mall has totally been worth it! Guam is the best place to learn how to live with less for a while because the beach is right down the street and I just go there when I need to refresh or stretch my legs.
I'm glad you are enjoying the fruits of your accomplishments :)
When you know you have to change things, you just know, eh?!! Well done!! For me, ironically, I'm rooting myself more deeply into working full time.. Partly so that I develop the discipline to build my site out and be more productive here.. But that's just because only having this as a project just wasn't getting me focussed enough on getting my health in order! Good luck on taking that leap of faith, and make sure you get yourself into some solid daily habits, and routines.. I'm sure you'll monetise, and replace your income by the end of the year, with consistent focussed, action, and by dedicating yourself to your work.. Treat it like a business, and I'm sure it will absolutely reward like a business right back!! Good luck with the step, and look forward to watching you succeed!!
thank you! its been going well so far. its been a challenge building healthy habits and routine but i think i've finally gotten into the rhythm and i'm working pretty much full time here. i've monetized the site and now i'm just working on networking and marketing. thanks for the words of advice and encouragement! i appreciate it :)
I believe that if you truly believe in yourself , you will be the only person in the world that can get in the way of you and your dream.
You are very right, True Story! I often remind myself that I'm the only one standing in the way of my dreams and it helps me get back on track and stay motivated and positive. :)
Always remember that no one controls your actions but you.
I wish you the best of luck in everything that you do..
The same way that you booked a one way ticket to India,
you can book yourself a one way ticket to success..
I'll meet you there someday..
Have a wonderful and blessed night..
Work hard, be persistent, take action and ask for help when you need a hand along the way. We are all here rooting for you and willing to help you every step of the way as well Nicole! :)
I look forward to seeing where you are going to take things in 2015!
