Passion Is One of the Elements Needed for Success

The question is - What is passion? Passion is defined as: “Passion is when you put more energy into something than is required to do it. It is more than just enthusiasm or excitement, passion is ambition that is materialized into action to put as much heart, mind, body and soul into something as is possible.”

Passion fuels our confidence, creates excitement and eventually become contagious. When you have passion for what you do, it creates energy that will fuel your actions. Therefore, you will keep working late at night or into the wee hours of the morning with no thoughts of ever quitting. Passion is a tool that we can use to help us achieve success in life.

“Do it with passion or not at all.” When it comes to our online businesses, we have to be passionate about our work so that we will have the energy, strength and motivation to do our best work. “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” Steve Jobs.

However, passion is not the only element needed for success. We need knowledge, courage, self-confidence, persistence, consistency, patience, leadership, ambition, hard work and more in order to achieve success. But - “A strong passion for any object will ensure success, for the desire of the end will point out the means.” William Hazlitt.

All the greats - artists, musicians, writers, performers, business persons, leaders, teachers, preachers or just about any field of work have passion for what they do. Their passion comes through their work loud and clear. ”Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.” Denis Diderot.

“Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping...waiting...and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir...open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us...guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. In concluding, anything great in life is created with passion. “Without passion man is a mere latent force and possibility, like the flint which awaits the shock of the iron before it can give forth its spark.” Henri Frederic Amiel
