Does AI content rank? Should We Be Worried!?

This is a question I have as we move forward in 2023. As AI ((artificial intelligence) continues to grow is this something we need to embrace?

There are a couple of key concepts/concerns that need to be addressed.

1. If AI actually works for blogging, then we HAVE to embrace it and use AI, or it would seem we have no chance to compete considering you could put out exponentially more content.

2. This means AI is either an amazing tool for blogging or it's actually a huge negative for this industry because it means real people (like us) writing real articles won't be able to compete.

My Thoughts

Well, I honestly hope AI content doesn't rank, because if so, that means "fake" content will take over the internet.

My thoughts on this are that Google is pretty damn smart as well and probably will catch on that you're using AI...at least for now.

But what happens when AI gets even smarter? Google couldn't tell the difference, right?

Here is the thing...how would this not be duplicate content?

If I type in a key word in AI and publish that article and others do the same and get the same results, then that would be considered duplicate content.

This would mean even if it's well written it would still be duplicate content.

Unless...the AI is actually smart enough to give a completely different answer every time...then, we're all screwed LOL.

What Do You Think About AI and Blogging?

I honestly don't know a whole lot about this so I'm speculating here. What are your thoughts on AI as we enter 2023?

Is this a huge issue for us regular affiliate marketers creating content?

Do we have to embrace it?

Is there a way Google (and other search engines) will be able to find AI content?

Let me know!!

Hi Daniel,

AI content should not rank because Google can easily determine that the content was created by an AI engine. ChatGPT uses the GPT-3.5 series of training and it's very easy to detect. There are many tools already on the market that you can use to determine if content was created by an AI engine. Even if you modify the content yourself, any content that you did not modify will be detected as AI. Google pushes the idea that its results are based on content for people by people.

AI content published on a website runs the risk of being flagged by Google for content that is not created by a human, and thus that content will not rank.

I wouldn't pay it any attention!

Stay away from AI Content.

Please take a look at my blog post about it. I know a lot of people are writing about it. SEO experts are bragging about it. Guess what? I am laughing at them. Google has said that AI content is considered thin and will not be accepted. It is against their guidelines. Today, I am writing a WA Blog post about a tool that Google uses to detect whether your content is written by a human being or used as AI content.

It's the same tool you and I can use to check if our content has passed the human writing content, not AI content.

Many people use AI to help them get ideas like virtual assistance because some struggle with writer's block, so they use that for that reason.

All in all, we ought to embrace human writing content. As Google says, write, experience, expertise, authoritative, and trust (E.E.A.T). If your content can do that, then, by all means, stick to it.

If those sites are ranking now because they wrote full 100% AI content, soon Google will catch up, and they will be removed from the ranking. Those sites will lose traffic.

They are cheaters.

Don't be a cheater.

WA teaches to write high-quality human content. You are the only person that knows your niche. All bloggers that I know, most of them do not use AI.

Those who do use AI are the cheaters.

Some SEO experts are bragging, but Neil Patel is not one of them. He pays people to write for him.

This is good for us because those who have written human content can finally get ranked in Google. Bing and Yahoo are different search engines. Theirs is a little different from Google's.

Hi - I am going to repeat my answer from a similar question from a few days ago.

I have been experimenting with the hot new kid on the block, ChatGPT, and the content it produces will certainly pass all checks for plagiarism.

But it shouldn't be used for creating blog posts.

AI-produced content is currently against Google's guidelines, and their most recent algorithm specifically stated that they expected posts to be "written for humans, by humans."

ChatGPT actually warns users - "May occasionally generate incorrect information.

It may occasionally produce harmful instructions or biased content.

Limited knowledge of world and events after 2021."

And ChatGPT apparently intends to add watermarks to any content it produces.

The watermarks won't be visible to you or your readers, but Google will be able to see them and, therefore, won't rank the post highly.

I suspect other AI programs will follow this lead and add watermarks.
