The Internet Lifestyle Network - Beware!

This is one site offering to make you $20 in 24hrs or they will give $100 after 30 days if you don't make any money. But you have to prove that you have put the effort in to get signups which they can easily check.

The whole of the marketing strategy focuses around Facebook and you sharing their links and images with your Facebook Friends and also my emailing your friends.

I have quite a substantial email list, BUT after thinking long and hard about this I wasn't going to send anything out to my list, Why?

Because they will then own my list which took me decent amount of time to build.

This is Multi Level Marketing at it's highest and one that is such a huge con that it's amazing that nobody else has spotted it yet. That's because the video's a very slick and professional looking and they keep on emphasizing that you can easily make money just by sharing with your friends on Facebook.

Now we all know that it takes quite a bit of work to make serious serious money from marketing, it's about building trust and a relationship with your readers.

I shared an image on my timeline on Facebook with a link attached and a couple of other posts just to see what the response was and the image got re-shared but nobody signed up which I'm not overly bothered about.

However my investigations into what this is really about shocked me.

Initially you sign up as a free member for 7 days then it costs $37 a month for what they call the Apprentice Level but this only allows you to make $20 per signup, you don't get the extra income from the further 4 levels unless you become a Professional Member and this will cost you another $95 a month.

For the $95 a month you get free websites which look exactly the same, with the exact same content and a 5000 word post by one of the owners Vincent Ortega Jr.
You can change the colors and layout of the wordpress website and if you want a different header picture you can purchase a Gold Pack for $850.

Everything to do with ILN focuses on you spending money and not making money.

I signed up as a Professional straight away instead of waiting 7 days as a free member for $95 to see what was on offer and what I have seen is shocking.
The worse bit is that even though I went from Free to Professional Level I will still have to pay the Apprentice Level of $37 a month after 7 days. So that means this will cost a staggering $132 a month!!

The training provided is inadequate, it teaches you nothing about creating a proper online business that you can learn here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds a little like EN.

It's far worse than EN.

I am afraid to even know how much money I have wasted over the years on so many different internet schemes. And for all that money I spent I have learned very little and have mostly become even more confused. which is why I am here at WA, to learn how to build a business properly. Thanks for the great post!

Likewise I have spent hundreds trying to find out things about working online. I knew there was a way but WA helped me to achieve that, now I'm in a far better position to advise on what not to waste your money on.

Neil, I have seen this as well service advertised. I am trying out a service to be able to write a review. Seems sometimes we need to try a service to give a thorough review. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

I often spend money to find out about something but for the most part I can get my money back but with the high cost products you don't.
Just have to be careful which ones you spend your hard earned cash on.

good audit trail, and the math does not lie, even if these charlatans are sc*m., which they assuredly are.
I do however think that we need to create secondary accounts for truth telling as they can often be the subject of complaints from the crooks we are exposing and if it is our main YouTube/facebook/image etc then that can be really harmful....
Great post Neil and thanks, Andy

I have never been afraid of saying what I feel needs to be said....lol
But what I can't stand is lies and that people go out of their way to make something sound so good that in reality it's complete rubbish.

I just re-read your post and the last line in particular, and I cracked up...sterling job here, just wanted to restate that, and thanks for the chuckle, Andy

Fantastic post, Neil. I recently estimated that 90% of the money I've spent during my brief IM career, themes, plugins, services, etc. has been wasted. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't all bad gear, often it just wasn't best of class. However, it's often impossible to tell unless you try them out and have gained experience of other products to be able to compare against. Heck, I waste 99.9% of the money I spend on apps, less than 1-in-a-100 lasts the day. :D R. x

Thanks Rich, I know what you mean but I had to spend the money to really find out what it was all about. This is a pyramid scheme at it's best and it is very cleverly done. Actually had me fooled at one stage but I eventually found the problem with it.
The videos are very slick and skimmed over certain parts but I replayed one and found what I was looking for.
I have lost $95 but I have already made that money back from other avenues, just didn't want anyone on here getting drawn into this.

Thank You for such an enlightening review...it's sad to think that these scams are taking good and honest people, and turning them into people that would scam others, because that's all they learned how to do, and think that that is how its done.
JP

Yes, that's the worst part, because they think this is how it's done, does shock me.

An excellent post, Neil - you're a brave and generous man for sharing this experience with us! Sadly, there are those who will blindly buy into this scam - even if they don't last too long, no refunds!
:) george

Absolutely and most have no idea how much it will cost them.

Excellent analysis Neil. What impressed me about WA is an original free website that is unique with my content. No one can offer that! It's a shame people keep buying into these scams.

It's amazing what a fancy video can do with the right emphasis on getting you to sign up. Getting out is the hardest part.

I hope you were able to get your money back, Neil. I think you summed up this kind of "offer" very well when you said Everything to do with ILN focuses on you spending money and not making money. You are wonderful to share your experience with all of us.

You don't get your money back not with sites like this. But my focus was, what it is and what it does?

Call your card company or bank, tell them you didn't authorise the transaction and get them to do a chargeback. It's sneaky but the alternative is to let the scammers keep your money.

I knew exactly what I was doing, so please don't worry.

I suspected you might ;)
That's good to know.

Sorry about this experience, I hope you cancelled very quickly!

I on purposely joined to see what the hype was all about.
