What NOT to do when WA and its members are being slandered
A number of posts are appearing on here today because it seems there has been another slanderous attack on the community from another platform with what is clearly a very aggressive owner and crew, and zero integrity. They have in the past inaccurately described the platform here and insulted all the members in here as being 'thick', and many members have already posted on this some time back [see below for link] however don't fall for the provocation:
1. If someone tries to provoke you then know they are looking for a reaction. It is like a move in a game eg chess.
2. Don't give them a reaction that will profit them. THAT means don't mention their name AT ALL
EVERY TIME YOU NAME THE OWNER AND HIS PLATFORM YOU GIVE HIM AUTHORITY AND RANK IN GOOGLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO IT ON THIS PLATFORM.
And that is why a number of posts are disappearing today too - no knee jerk reactions folks, respond carefully and in a way that boosts us instead. Talk about how wonderful this platform is, notice the atmosphere in here, notice how the owners in here are not aggressive. If anyone has seen the people who support that other owner in his comment section they will have seen very negative energy and aggression.
Let's celebrate our strong points, up our game, and ring out the successes folks. And where ass needs to be kicked, make it a win and not an own goal ;)

There were a couple of other blogs around that time that got some good feedback too, let's not have the memory of a goldfish folks. [and yes my own responses in my blog at that time need a bit of improvement, but live and learn]

These are some great tips about how to handle the slanderous attacks. Your comment about not naming them is probably one of the most important because as you said, when they are named it helps that person rank.
You hit it spot on!!! This is not the initial reaction of many but it is the right one for the reasons you stated. Nice post.
Thanks for the Expert Advice , Don't give these rascals a reaction and lower ourselves. We must always remember that 'Truth will overcome 'Falsehood'. We, the WA community must be that beneficial'Water' that 'Extinguishers' any blazing fire.

I've seen another one today - obviously someone hasn't read your post! On the flip side, the article in question will no doubt provoke some lively online 'debate' which will also raise the profile of WA. :-)
