That winning feeling
Hello all you lovely WArriors, its a lovely blue sunny morning in ol' blighty and I wanted to mention something to you all.
I wanted to paraphrase something in an old book of mine that is as pertinent today as it was back in 1960. As you know I am a bit of a goal nut and it's purely because they work and they are misunderstood, I think when goals are written down and truly thought about then something very fascinating happens within our subconscious and potentially the universe . When Rhonda Byrne wrote 'the Secret' back in '06 the world was lit up by this new found term, 'the law of attraction' but this new term has it's roots planted in very deep soil, maybe 50 years deep, if truth be told. It does not matter who said it first but that it was said at all.
Now, I am a doctor, a scientist and a very left brained dominant guy, at least thats what biometrics have said many times over, I have developed my feeling, thoughtful, artistic right side over the last decade but primarily I should be a skeptic of terms such as 'the secret', 'law of attraction' and 'the subconscious'.
Here is my point. If you have taken my course on goals or read anything of any value in this subject then you will know that our brain is a goal seeking mechanism, this is known as 'teleological' or a system which operates in terms of goals and end-results. If you give your brain a goal and an endpoint then this guidance system will naturally take you to that goal far better than if YOU try to do it with conscious thought. It is not up to us to actually think about the process, the how-to, the whereby.
This is very important to understand, YOU MUST SUPPLY THE GOAL. Now here is the kicker, in order to start this teleological system up you must think of this new goal in terms of a present possibility WOW, that is so important guys!
The possibility of this goal coming alive must be seen so clearly that your brain thinks it is REAL. You are evoking the same feelings as though the goal has been already achieved. Your brain cannot tell the difference, I WISH WE HAD RED TEXT HERE!!!!
We do this every day anyway, you get up late and you spill your coffee and we start thinking we are going to have a bad day and hey ho what happens, we have a bad day, we will experience worry, anxiety and bad feelings AS THOUGH we have already had a bad day, this is not mumbo jumbo people, this is what happens up there in that skull of ours.
We are experiencing the thoughts of a bad day or failure in advance, Our brain will then automatically go to its filing system and dredge up all the old bad, failure thoughts that match and it will add to the current feelings and BINGO you will fail, you have to, you planned it. The brain cannot tell the difference.
I mean, how exciting is this though, in the reverse.
If we think of succeeding, if we think of winning as though it has happened, then our brains still cannot tell the difference and we will experience winning feelings
So yes, there is a secret to all this and it's this
Ready......Can you stand it!!!
"call up, capture and evoke the feeling of success. When you feel successful and confident then you will do no wrong and things will start happening"
This is the point of visualising guys, Set that goal and visualise and think and think and think some more that you already have it and the universe will open up like the 'parting of the oceans' and will co ordinate and fabricate to achieving your goals. Don't ask me the hows, it just does but you gotta believe Guys!
So get out there and think of those goals and REALLY THINK, act like you're already there, dont act and feel broke, act and feel rich, I mean it...Shower up, get shaved (women too, if you have too) and dress up for the day. I am successful and I am so glad I have that ten grand in the bank, act from abundance not poverty.
This is not a joke and psycho babble guys, this works and it's very important to understand. Think failure, get failure, Think success and guess what.......................

And that is the thing I have always found interesting. Is that this is going on whether people believe it or not. Whether people "do" it or not. That is what I do, I use it to my advantage because it is going to be used by you ether way.
Really really great explanation Mikey!!! I just "used" if you will this to get a little horse trailer that we needed for a great price and in pretty decent shape. Very little work needs to be done to it.
Great post! I never was a ' law of attraction' person. It's too simple to say that you will do better if you follow the 'law of attraction'. I wasted a lot of time trying to test this 'law' but
I really didn't feel comfortable with it. I like practical things that you can see and feel.
I should have been figuring out how to sell my products rather than trying out 'laws' that
were shadowy ( Not shady!) and kind of obscure in their meaning.
I don't know if I'm a 'left brain' or a 'right brain' but today is starting to be a 'no brainer'!
It'll get better after lunch! Always does.

No its not the law of attraction. I think she coined that and made it her empire. You have got to think end point though. It works, it has to, it's how we are built.
Incredibly clever of her if that's the case! You gotta hand it her for being a genius. Though it's been done before countless times, - she did it well!
A long time ago while exploring my new relationship with God I found a scripture that has helped me to do this principal. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. It is amazing how well this works for me.
