I am back and have to start over like a newbee.

I have been with Wealthy Affiliate for over a year now, but ran into problems. I had medical issues that took me away from learning here at Wealthy Affiliate. Then when I came back, I found Wealthy Affiliate told me to make a back up of my website and delete my website. Well I made a backup or so I thought I did and deleted Website and started over, but it looks like I failed in making a backup so I am back to square one. I now have to start all of the lessons over again because of my poor memory and start a new website building. I guess I can only hope and pray I am more successful this time with my Website building and hope I can find a way to get on Google's 1st page so that maybe I can make some money to take care of my family. I hope everyone here on Wealthy Affiliate has been successful in fulfilling their dreams.

Don't worry comma you will be fine. I too have been here a couple of years and I really don't need wa for anything anymore butt it's super cheap and I kind of enjoy it. Seeing how I have hundreds of emails that pile up before I get around to checking it I guess the viewing is no longer just a big distraction. Don't worry, everything will be alright. Making money the way does take a lot of time.
Glad you are back. Although you are beginning again, it will be easier because of your past experience at WA.
We only store websites for up to 6 months (beyond someone cancelling their membership). That is about 6 months longer than most hosts, but beyond that all of your websites are deleted unfortunately.
This is not a horrible thing, sometimes you are better off to start fresh and work with a fresh slate than to try to revive and old project. I know this time around is going to be a much more successful journey and I truly do look forward to working with you!
Thanks for your comments. I am afraid how long WA stores websites was not the problem. I may have been away, but I pay WA and Jaaxy Membership Yearly automatically with PayPal so my paying for things was not the issue. Technical Support told me a virus hit my website so they froze my site and told me to make a back-up of Content only. Then, I was to delete my site from WA and start over using the content I saved in the back-up. Well, apparently I did not do the backup right, for I was never able to get any content added back from my back-up. WA deleted everything as well due to whatever the virus was. So I just deleted it all and did not renew my domain. I just figured I would start completely over with new domain and hopefully make a better website being that I only got a couple of referrals with my website. I have been here over a year now and hope this year I do better than I did last year. My memory is bad so I will start over with the first lesson like a Newbie. Again, thank you for your comments and I wish you and your families continued success.

I should ask support if they still have a back-up from your website, they do keep data safe till 2 years back, worth to try
It is actually 6 months beyond someone cancelling we are able to restore a website. Other hosts like Godaddy and Namecheap, this is usually maximum of 14 days after non payment...we are the most generous in the hosting industry in this respect.

Mikey, I know you've been back for a while now, but I am glad to see you back. I remember the first time I ever joined WA (3 years or so ago) you helped me out with a lot of questions that Ihad. Best of luck.
