Struggling but not Quitting
I’m in a weird place right now. Why ? Because I think I know what I am doing but feel as though I have missed something.
The Swag challenge is keeping me moving forward and I have taken on board all of Kyles advice on doing jobs in blocks. I have published 4 posts but have written six. I am about to do the next block of six posts, but it seems odd to have content written but not published.
Is anyone else struggling with this ?
I have always used site comments as I get a great deal from reading other wealthy affiliates posts but the challenge of giving 30 comments this month seems to be eating in to my time. I have done 10 so far.
Time I think is my biggest issue this month. Trying to work more efficiently seems to be taking more time. This cannot be right but I know that Re creating old habits can be difficult and time consuming.
Anyway I will get this months challenge done because I am not a quitter and am open to change.
One final question. Does anyone on the SWAG challenge know what Kyle means by leaving comments on other people’s comments means. I may be having a blonde moment (not unusual) but I’m stumped on what this actually means I have to do.
Oh and I don’t seem to be getting many wealthy affiliate emails.... either no one I’m following are writing blogs or asking questions or the internet is playing a nasty trick on me.

yes, I too write a post and then waited to publish it while I was working on site structure. As for the comments I understand the importance and using WA friends to generate it but seems a little like having a restaurant and asking friends to post good comments. I'd rather get comments from site visitors. Still thinking about this one.
I definitely use the community for comments but also get some from Facebook Groups too.
Organic ones would be awesome but how many of us actually leave comments on posts we read?
Very true. Usually you only leave negative comments on the posts you read and that don't help.

Just know you're not the only one. We all struggle in some way. I am at the moment too, but we'll get through it and persevere!
I think he means commenting back on a comment such as thanks for your comment... so it's more personable and your someone who cares about what they wrote. - Kasey
Perhaps it is just that simple. Maybe my leaving you a comment on this comment is all it means.
You are way above where I am but just wanted to tell you that your struggles and pushing through help people like me who seem to be in the middle stages (just completed level 4 of the certification courses) but know at the end of the course 5, it is still just the beginning.

I’ll go take a look. I’m getting no wealthy affiliate emails at the moment. This is where I get notifications on people’s posts and questions but I don’t know who’s saying or asking what at the minute.
That is odd. You probably already know, but I had site support help me within minutes of a technical problem about a week ago. Someone told me to try there and so I did. It wasn't long before they responded with the problem fixed.
Hi Karen, time is something that many of us can struggle with, using it effectively can be a continuous work in progress, so don't feel alone on that one. As for the super affiliate challenge it is a step up to a whole new level, you are doing very well, if you struggle don't panic, it runs for 12 months so you will find that you will build momentum as you go, focus tends to do that naturally.
Oneof the key drivers that is emerging across the board is people to people communication, it's what we do naturally folks in a group start conversations. So comments on comments kind of helps the author of the post it lifts their game in a natural way. By commenting on a comment thread we can if the comment adds to the conversation bring some authority, folks notice, some will search you out. Just a couple of cents just a personal view.
Asfor emails, they have dropped away dramatically, there is so much happening on the platform at the moment with all the different groups that energies and focus is divided, going back to the start of your post there are only so many hours in the day and only so much we can do in those hours.

Usually my inbox is full every morning of who’s written or asked what.
This morning. Not one email. I think there’s an issue somewhere.

Hi Karen, sometimes Gmail can go to sleep try looking in some of your other folders for the emails.
Try going to your email notification settings,
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile
and check to see if they are on and also have a look at editing your notifications.
Just publish about the same amount of articles each week, slow and steady win the race, a bunch of articles one week and 2 or 3 the next is not what google likes.
I have half a dozen wrote ahead of time and stored in drafts and continue to improve them before publishing them. It works for me.

I'm not in SWAG but I have been feeling a little stuck on my website posts over the last few days and I really wasn't sure about one I posted early this morning, but I wrote it from my heart so I'll just wait and see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow.
Sometimes I get that strange feeling but I am finding out it normally disappears when I push on forward.
I hope you find your way out of that strange place.

I'm in the same boat myself. There's so much to do with this challenge, and some days my heart just isn't into it or I have other things I need to do. But I'm nowhere near ready to give up.
As far as the comments, I just think Kyle means have a give-and-take in the comments section if you can engage a commenter on one of your pages to do that.
There was someone else on WA who complained that he replied back to a commenter and asked them a question back, and they never answered. The way my theme is, I don't think I would know if they commented back to my comment to their comment, because we're not notified of that. We just get notified of the initial comment. But, like I said, it may just be the theme I picked.
Hmm maybe that’s what he meant. My comments don’t give my readers an option of being notified of my reply. This is on my to do list.

I am sure there are many of us in the same situation as yourself Karen. Plans in terms of time available don’t always work out as indeed I am finding, I squeeze every moment i can even if it is only a few to do the tasks we have to do this month. Just a little update here. I didn’t get any email notifications about comments left here. Emails are definitely not coming through. I haven’t had one email telling me about posts others have written either. This will make it hard for me to comment anywhere... lol.
I am in the dark here.... anyone else?

Click on that green box , top right of your dashboard ( it has a little envelop). Under the word 'Action" there are 2 actions : 'check all as read', and 'leave me out of discussions'. If you had the second one checked, you would not be receiving notifications. If it is, uncheck it so you will get your emails etc. Best wishes !!!
Thanks, I’ve done that and now have site support working on it. It’s really odd not getting notifications. I feel like I have no idea what is going on. I’m usually active in the community and I’m sure people are wondering why I’m not getting back to them.
