Santa Claus Unmasked

Hi everyone,
Its been a long time since I was able to be like Santa Claus, but this year I had the extra $$$ to do it.
I usually choose people who I have interacted with over the year(s) and who would not be able to easily reciprocate, because their income is minimal.
I'd approach them and offer to shake their hand having the money in my right palm and say Merry Christmas in their language.
Everyone is surprised. One thought I was joking. Another erupted with such excitement, everyone heard him.
My reward comes in seeing their reactions. Sometimes they will even cry.
Today, Christmas Eve morning, Melissa Jeane was with me so I gave her some money to give a blind man who sits on the sidewalk with his wife. I normally do not give money to beggars as they are so many and the money can also be misused, but I decided to use this as a teaching moment for Melissa Jeane to help others.
Me as Santa in the 1980's
I was just dressed in every day clothes here, but as seen in the photo, I dressed the part in the 1980's every time I came home for Xmas while in the Marines for 8 years.
I'd go to Walmart and buy lots of stuffed animals and fill up a large bag and then drive around town and stop near houses where they had children. I kept the car far away so they couldn't see it.
No one ever knew it was me. They let a stranger into their home because their children insisted on letting Santa Claus in. haha
Till this day, no one back home knows I did that and I am fine with that, because again my reward came in seeing the smiles and reactions from the children. Priceless!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
Santa Mel

That's beautiful Mel. There was a time that I too didn't want to give money to beggars on the street. People used to say, 'They're just going to use it for drugs.' However, you can't think like that because the majority of them don't.
Plus you don't really know what they will do with it and should trust God to have them use the money for good. This is why I always give either money and or food. I've seen many get more excited over the food than the money.
We reap what we sow and being a cheerful giver is always the best way to spread joy to this world, regardless of when it happens. May you be blessed as you continue to share your blessings with others. Merry Christmas Mel.
Thanks for sharing Rob! Merry Christmas!
