Where does your determination come from?
Hi everyone!
As I read more and more blogs on here I am more impressed as to everyones encouragement to each of us to keep going and not to give up. There are many great ones out there that I do love to read when I am struggling.
However it leads me to a question for all of you. And that is what is your reason for wanting to be successful? It is something like being able to have the pride of accomplishment or is something more like you need finicial stability. Or better yet maybe it is complete freedom.
Although I do share a lot of these same desires, I have some very good things that keep pushing me into success. And those are my children! They are wonderful and depend on me for a lot. I really am a proud mom and I would love to share them with you so here are my reasons.
Here is my first one. He is my oldest he will be 22 this month. And the beautiful lady with him is his girlfriend (aka my daughter from another mother). This is one reason for my urge to keep going.
Now believe me these two have my back and always tell me how great I am doing and how proud they are of me. But it doesn't stop here, nope I have 2 more.
I want to proudly introduce one of my daughters. She just turned 19. She is my daughter and has been a huge blessing. You see I adopted this girl about 2 years ago. She was in foster care and my daughters best friend. She has had a rough life so she fits in very well with my family. But her strenght to succeed is always a very good reminder to me I can do anything as well. So here is one of my daughters.
She is always been a ball full of joy. She is a great inspiration. But wait I have one more. Now this is my youngest. She just turned 18 not too long ago.
My youngest daughter also gives me great inspiration because she has had it tough also and she just keeps hanging in there with all that she has. Not only does she mean the world to me but I know I mean just as much to her as well. She has come such a long ways, she is always striving for better. And she is growing into a tremendous young lady. So here is my youngest and her wonderful boyfriend.
I do realize we all want to succeed for our families and our selves. But with these kids and all they have been through and where they are now how can not strive to succeed. Here are young kids making a huge dent in the world with their success. So I can't let them down either.
I shared my reason for making sure I make it and with the help of Wealthy Affiliate and these kids I will do it. What is behind your determination?

My "why" started out purely for financial reasons. Divorce was costly and although I have some savings, I don't want to be a burden to my family as I get older. It's been a great journey and I'm having so much fun connecting here with people from all around the world. WA is addicting and sometimes a distraction from my original "why"! Blessings to you in your journey to provide for your family as well.
It is great that you started out with that and have gotten to see how great this community is. I am sure you will have the finical help you are wanting. Good luck to you and your family with this journey.
I was never blessed with children but I do have an aging Mother and an older brother who desperatly need me and all the help I can give them.... when I have more time and MONEY$$
Those are great reasons as well. Family is great inspiration. I am glad they have you. It seems like you are bound and determined to succeed. And I believe you can. Thank you for sharing your story with me.

My reasons for being here mainly rest on 3 things. 1- I of course want to have more time to do the things I want with family and friends while still making a living and preferably one that's better than now, although it isn't bad.
2- I want to make sure that if something happens to me that my family is well taken care of and there is a business left to them that they can run with,
3- I want to do this for my legacy. That sounds selfish, but that isn't what I mean. Everyone wants to be remembered for doing great things with the time they had! I want to be as successful as possible and then help others do the same at no charge. It would be a great thing to help low income people become something they can be proud of ! And not rely on the government to hold their heads under water with entitlements!

Looks like you have 3 wonderful children. I have 3 daughters; however they are grown and on their own now. My biggest determination is to be able to retire early and become a stay at home dog mom. Having 3 Basset Hounds and 4 Treeing Walker Coonhounds they need their mom at home.

Having a stroke in 2013 was a wake up call. Now it's live every day to the fullest doing only what makes you happy.You are lucky to have your children by tour side. My four are in UK , Canada, and Germany.My youngest daughter is due to graduate from Birmingham University in December but finishes in September nd hopefully returns to Anguilla or else pay the price of the scholarship bond We talk or text at least twice a day.
I can sympathize with you some on this. You see I have been on the very brink of death twice now. To the point Dr.s said I wouldn't make it. This is a very scary situation I agree and it does give you a whole new out look and strive for life. I am glad to have my kids somewhat close. My girls are near and one still lives with me. But my son does live over 9 hours away. I try really hard to keep up with them as well. I am so proud of your daughter graduating from such a high up University. I know you are one proud father. I wish you the best dear friend. Thank you so much for sharing your story.
Yes, I am building my business for my family and I will be leaving this as a legacy to anyone of them.
