If I find a great keyword, high search, low QRS, high Seo but it's sort of a half headline... Should I just use it, or does adding words to complete it change the whole proces

The search engines pick the phrase out of whatever you enter, so, as long as the great keyword phrase is there, you are good to know.

My lead is always:
I go to Google and type in what I would type in for what I search for
Are there good fishing opportunities in Ohio
or
Can I fish in Ohio
or
What is the best place to fish in Ohio

Ask yourself, would you use this phrase 'fishing in ohio is the best' or the shorter variant as a phrase to search in Google? It does not look to me as a phrase people would use. Perhaps "is fishing in ohio the best" is something people use.

This would be fine, in fact, it is the best approach because you will have a chance of ranking for both terms

Thank you so much!

I made a post and on the blog roll it's decided to pick a random photo from the post to put at the top. It doesn't do that when you go to it under recent posts. Can I make it

Yes, you can add a featured image on the right of your blog in the edit mode. You can choose your own image you want to display. When you do not see that option, go on top to screen options and check the box

But I don't want a featured image, and there is not one chosen in the edit mode, so I don't know how to get rid of it, lol.

Which theme do you have?

It's called Undedicated

Thank you so much! I'll check it out. You're the best!

I can not find an easy solution on the theme, it's something in the editor

It says I can use Hide Featured Image plug in but it says it hasn't been tested with my theme, do I try it? lol Makes me nervous. Apparently I'm still sure I'll do the wrong thing and mess it all up.

Goodmorning:) Start up a test theme and give it a try.

Okay, thank you again!

I'm working on my pages at this stage in the training, but I'm wondering about the difference between pages and posts and how they work together. My thought is that you create

Really the only difference between pages and posts is that posts are open for comments and pages are not. Both will have a unique URL: yoursite.com/page or yoursite.com/post.

By default, posts go to your blog roll (if you have your homepage setup that way) and pages go to your menu. But you can always customize your menu, in the wordpress dashboard.

My menu has a mix of pages, and categories, the former I use to assign to posts in order to get them on the menu.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your response. So if I write a page, but put it under the category of a page I already made then it will go under that in a drop down ? Is that right?

You're welcome. I am not sure about the drop down since my theme's menus do not have that. Each one of my menu categories goes to a category page, where all of the posts within that category are listed in a roll.
