The size you choose actually depends on the font you are using on your site. A size 14 font might be fine in one font, but really small in another. I would just eyeball it. Change the size, look at it, and if you are not happy with it, try a new size until you like it.

When dealing with keywords that ask "What is/are the best xx f
In the example you describe, "what are the best shoes for running" is better because you have the chance of ranking for that keyword PLUS "best shoes for running" since it also contains that keyword. Those are the best kind of keyboards, a 1-2 punch! :-)
