So, as I am looking at my stats I am noticing that I am getting some traffic on my site. I am more then positive a lot of this traffic is, from using my social media to promote

Great content, MaRay.

I agree with Lainey about the text changing size. In one post it goes rather small and hard to read.

On the 'what do you do at WA' post. You haven't inserted the WA review link where you write "(You can read my full review by clicking here.)" It has no link in it.

Another thing I noticed: Are you using your WA referral link found here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/links

I ask this because when you say on your 2016 WA review "Price $0 Starter Membership (get free account), $47/mth Premium" The get free account link is to Kyle's Website (waystoavoidscamsonline) and not your WA affiliate link which you need to get referrals to WA.

Also on the Can I stay Home Page: You have direct links to wealthyaffiliate.com and not your WA affiliate link. For you to get the sign ups you need to use your special link.

I would add some more of your WA affiliate links to your WA review page. Especially one at the bottom saying something like "check it out for free NOW!" You got nothing to loose etc etc... I also like to add affiliate links to pictures as people click on images, especially images of your screenshots of WA.

As you keep going through bootcamp you will learn more ways to get traffic to your site. A very effective method is by reviewing other 'make money/scam' programs and then telling them after the review why you prefer WA etc...

More keyword targeted posts will also help alot in the long run for getting free traffic = WA referrals.

Keep going, keep learning, keep improving and you will crack the nut :)

Thank you so much Josh. I am going to be changing these things now! I am really glad that you took the time to really pay attention! I mean My linking is really, really bad! I had no Idea.

I honestly thought that they could go anywhere for me to get the credit as long as they got there from my link.
You really don't know how much that means!

Thanks,
Mary

When I go to the link https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/links The links that I need to be putting in my post to get credit are here. right?

Do I need to do anything specific besides Linking these? How do I get a special link. I am really worried about moving forward until I get this right.

A special link is just another way of saying affiliate link. So yes those links in that link are your special links (affiliate links) You just use them instead of the plain wealthyaffiliate.com link. When someone clicks on your special link they are taken to the sign up page in WA. If they join WA, they are then your referral. You get paid $1 if they add a image to there profile and write a bit about them. You get paid More if they join premium membership.

Just to clarify, you are doing the Affiliate Bootcamp Training (The Black Box to the left)?. (The green get started training is for any niche other than promoting WA) All of this is within the training, so maybe you haven't reached that part yet.

Thank you, Yes I am doing the Bootcamp. You are on point with that. Fore some reason I have not to that yet. I just finished the first course. I don't know if I just missed that.

Maybe I just didn't understand that part. This was total Greek to me at first. I am starting to understand more now.

I am just so glad that you have my back. Please keep paying attention to the small details. Things like that are very important.

I had made a video post on facebook, I had over 400 views. I had gotten quit a bit of traffic. I just don't know if anyone signed up or not.
I had a lot of people messaging me on my social media account.

I guess that is a lesson well learned. If I did or didn't I will never know but it's time to shake it off fix it and see what happens now.

LaineyMoney had mentioned that my post were to long. Do you you agree? Should I try to shorten my content?

Thanks,
Mary

Hey, it sounds like you have a good facebook presence. 400 views and traffic= :). I would be doing some more of that if I were you. But make sure you have your affiliate links in place so you get credit for referrals.

As for post length... It depends on the keyword and the relevance of the content you are writing about. So for example if you were to write a post titled 'what is a keyword and where do I put them' I would think you could easily write 1000-3000 words. But the point is to be relevant. The more relevant the better.

If your whole post focuses around 'what a keyword is, and where to place them' you are in really good shape. But if you go on to write about making a you tube video, or how to add a plugin to wordpress' (just as examples) you are straying away from your main keyword (point of the post). This confuses google and your readers as they found your page because they wanted to know about keywords, not plugins, or videos...

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, if it takes 2000 words to explain the point of your post and it's 100% relevant then so be it. Don't add 1000 extra words on unrelated topics just to build up the word count. Write as much as needed to produce the best focused keyword targeted post you can.

I generally aim for about 1000-1300 words per post. Sometimes more sometimes less.

If you have any more queries, shout out!.

I just check out your website..it awesome I wouldn't change a thing . I love it

Hi Mary. I just took a look at your site. I started reading your info on WA, and how to become a part of it. As a first impression -- I'll be blunt and you can decide if it makes sense to you -- it was very long. Maybe it is supposed to be. But I didn't want to keep reading. This takes time.

Also I noticed the font changed size as I kept on reading farther down on the page. For me, it raises a red flag that this is not professional enough or not "real".
You have a casual tone to your writing which may or may not be inviting. Something to be careful about.

One final thing, if you want readers to comment, just prompt them to do so in the first paragraph and the last. Engage them and invite them.

It may not sound like it, but I do like your website and your blog. Just trying to give you straight-up critiquing. Is that your lovely family in the picture?

If you have any questions or need clarification, just private message me. I truly hope my feedback helps you. Thanks, Lainey

Thank you! Yes your feedback was great. I am going to take a look an see if I can make some things shorter. :)

So I have been working really hard on mommystayhome.com It is starting to take shape. However: every since I have started in WA I have tons of other ideas on niches.

Som

Sounds like a good plan!

My opinion only.
I guess it's different strokes for different folks. If you've got the time and energy for it - why not.

An awful lot of Wa'ers have several sites going.

For me - I take a long time to write a post and I am currently focussed on managing 2 sites - and that pushes me as far as I want to go.

The trick is to find that balance where you are able to manage your workload without becoming overwhelmed. It's too easy to get excited about a project and find later that you've taken on too much, but the bottom line is that only you can decide where your boundaries are.

Good points! I would try to work when managing multiple sites so that posts are being made on a consistent basis.

I spend a lot of time on my sites outside my new and being built WA site. That definitely slows me down but those sites have more traction (traffic and income).

My personal opinion is that if you haven't got income and traffic going on at least one site somewhere, it's probably best to stick to your knitting. In other words focus on one site until you are successful then expand. You will learn a huge amount getting your first site up and profitable that will speed you up when it's time to build a 2nd niche site.

From my standpoint, It is extremely easy to lose focus and energy when you divide your time even if you are experiencing writers block. There are tons of suggestions for that problem here and on the web so I would hit "how to" overcome writer's block first.

Thank you. That makes lots on since. I diffidently want to make the one site I am working create some sort of income first I think for now I may just stick to the one I have for now.

Hi Mary,

"We are our worst critics..."
That is something that I have learned about humans when it comes to self expression with content writing.. :)

OK.. on with the requested feedback.

THAT WAS AWESOME!
I read it from top to bottom and giggled the whole way through!
It is a true story that has allowed me to 'peer into Mary' to see what this girl is all about.

And that is one of the hardest feats to accomplish with writing...
Building trust.

My only suggestion would be to create some sub-headings to break it up a bit more.

Beyond that, I encourage you to continue with that writing style as it's awesome.

Jay

Jay,

Thank you so much, I am glad that you see my personality coming through. I will be putting some sub-heading up this Morning. :)

Your content page just made me want to share
http://adventgradepress.com/2016/08/151/

I think you have something big.
much kudos.

Hi Mary, I think you are being too hard on yourself. You tell a great story with lots of passion.

My suggestion is cleaning up some of the grammar as Jude recommended.

Thank you so much. Jude said something about running it through grammarly or wordpress. I really don't know how to do so at this point I think my first task today will be finding some training on that.

I agree with Jay. Maybe add another image or 2 as well to help break up the text. When you have a WA review up you can link to that as well :)

Thank you Josh. I will be adding pictures to break it up this morning. Again, Thanks!

Hi Mary, the content is great but there are a few typos in there. Can you run it through Grammarly or maybe Word and then edit?

It's always good to connect with your readers in a personal way so that they know you've 'been there, done that' which means they will trust you.

Great work so far, keep it up :)

To be honest, I don't know how to run it through work press just yet. Maybe I can find some training on that. I posted the question before checking for typo's lol. I read to first paragraph, and just started laughing. One thing for sure my personality is really coming out.

I read, How can I become the mom I want to be? I don't have a clue at this point. I just started rolling. Thank you so much.

I would really like to change my keyword to something more competitive in for this page, I am just blocked to what it should be.
