Choosing a domain name
Hello, hope everybody had an amazing christmas! I never thought choosing a domain name could be so difficult until today. I went through a lot of names, but they were either already taken, or the charm wore off soon. After some time, I decided to proceed with the subsequent steps and then come back to this, but I just could not make much progress there as I really wanted to pick a name so bad! I have finally zeroed in on internetbreadandbutter.com. No matter what, I know that bread and butter is one thing I will never tire of-especially when it's toasted!

i like internetbreadandbutter.com. I think it's catchy and fun. I can't wait to see what you do with it!
Hi Mahevash.
A lot of domain names have been registered by people who have no intention of setting up websites - but are banking on someone wanting the domain name they already have registered. So these people can offer for sale, a domain name which maybe cost them £10 - for £10,000 (one of my sites, I have the .co.uk domain registered - the person who registered the .com has offered it to me for £27,000).
It's really frustrating - but as you'll see in some posts here, you can either think of a creative domain name, around your keyword - or think of creating a brand (eg. TESCO.com - doesn't say "youcanbuyprettymuchanythinghere.com" - in other words, it's a brand, rather than describing what the site is about).
All the best, Mark
Often when I chose a domaine name I see if I could get near my "keyword" as I wanna use and see if that is avaliable ;)

It's a feature of godaddy-"Just because someone has already registered your dream domain doesn’t mean it’s out of reach. With GoDaddy’s Domain Buy Service, our professionals will do everything they can to get your ideal domain by contacting and negotiating with the current owner on your behalf."
I just typed your URL into Google (with and without "http://" and with and without "www" and it comes up on Go Daddy's site as available. What's the site about?
