I don't know how many of you use Hootsuite but if you don't know what that is, or do but not using it frequently, I hope this post will help you out.

I have been using Hootsuite for many years now. Probably ever since it exists. I have two accounts and using them both several times a week.

What is Hootsuite?

It's a genius platform where you can connect several of your social media accounts and save a gigantic amount of time when you want to post and/or promote something on all your social networking accounts.

It is completely free forever for up to three social network accounts but if you want more, it is still not expensive.

How does Hootsuite work?

Very simple, very genius and very effective. You basically post your link and/or message through Hootsuite, set it to post immediately or set up a schedule and let Hootsuite post it for you on all connected accounts. Very convenient. I guarantee you will feel goosbumps on you when you find out how super efficient and effective it is.

I mostly use the scheduling option. It basically piles up all my selected posts and allocates them to different times of the day. By default, Hootsuite schedules your posts on the known active social media times when most people check their Facebook newsfeed, etc. but you can set any scheduled time as well.

The Hootsuite Extension

What I love the most is, the Chrome extension. Not sure if they have it for Firefox too but they might. You install it and then you have a single button where you can just click and share right away or auto scheduled whatever content you want from the internet.

Oh and the link shortener

Hootsuite has it's own url shortener. So when you have a loooong url with all kind of slashes and numbers and stuff, Hootsuite can short it for you to save character space - especially for twitter it's important.

Stats, tracking

Hootsuite has an impressive and easy to follow dashboard system where you can see stats and activity very easily and know right away what's going on. Basically like a social networking analytics at hand.
