My WA journey so far.

Hi everyone,

I haven't really been communicating much this week as have been busy with creating content and trying to keep my two year old crazy cat out of mischief (terrible twos have got me wondering what i did in a past life) :D. I'm now at 20 posts after a solid month here at WA :D, so i think am doing ok.

I kind of got a bit worried as haven't been receiving many emails, and have been waiting for some more of my pages to be indexed. Until i realised today the settings had messed up on my phone and that's why i hadn't received anything *doh*! lol

Turns out i actually got two more posts indexed yesterday so that's great! I think i have around 8 more to be indexed that i posted last week or so.

Regarding gravatar, i had heaps of trouble trying to negotiate through that minefield yesterday so i could start using site comments instead of the asking for comments section (just because i wanted to start earning credits so i could ask for some comments also :D). This got me a little stressed out, but i think it is sorted now (hopefully), so one more step in the right direction and now i can work on getting comments on my site too. :)

Oh, and I'm not sure if i should be celebrating this or not, as i'm not sure what the norm is on analytics and stats and such, but i have reached 100 new visitors on my site within my first month! :D May not seem a lot to some of the more experienced bloggers, but this has been amazing to me as it means we're going in the right direction.

I have also noticed a slight increase in my site getting traffic directly from search results, instead of just social platforms that i have shared them on, so this must mean people are finding them and being interested enough to check out my site, so that's awesome! :D

I also joined awin affiliate program and for the first time ever actually had a reputable company approach me and ask me to join their program! (It's normally me chasing after them so this made me feel pretty good ha)

I have been using pinterest (although it has been pretty much the equivalent of me bashing all the buttons when playing one of my sons video games as im not quite that familiar with it yet lol), twitter, facebook and instagram. I must say that instagram has been my favourite for getting engagement and new followers out of all the social media platforms.

Twitter on the other hand was like me just consistently shouting in to a big black empty hole because there was nobody else there! lol, but slowly i am seeing more engagement and have even had a few retweets on my posts, so consistency is key i guess. :)

Anyways, that's all i have to report i think for now, and i hope everyone is doing great with their own sites etc. I have to say a little thanks to some of the experts here who are always seeming to be on hand when i get in a panic or think i am stuck on something lol, thank you for always helping a girl out!

So i'm back to blogging now and looking for keywords for my next post. (I think i am slowly getting the hang of this now), so i will wish you all well and good luck in your own projects too!
