Will Google Take Over The World?
Google & Facebook
earn far out the most advertisement fees ever. The amount is more than all newspapers, Radio and TV stations altogether.
This was a local Trouw Newspaper head in the Netherlands today.
They proclaim that Google will earn about 70 billiard Euro in 2017. That's a little less than €10 per world citizen a year. Facebook earns about $ 4.38 per user, per year.
Last month, Google received a fine from the EU of 2.4 billiards dollars because they violated the rules of competition. (Don't pity them, it's less than 0.5% of the Market value of Google)
A lot of journalists and newspapers are putting up a fight against the Google and Facebook monopoly because they say Google and Facebook are profiting freely from the hard work they have done.
Companies who offer counterfeit in these advertisement fees are Chinese. E.g. Internet giant Aliba, Baidu, and Tencent, they pick up 15% of worlds advertising profits.
The difference between Google Adwords and Facebook ads
Google Adwords
AdWords helps you find new customers
There are 3.5 billion searches a day on Google
Facebook Ads
Facebook helps new customers find you
There are 1.55 billion active monthly users on Facebook
They both have a Global audience and are both incredibly powerful.

Google tried their hand at being a social network with G+ but it hasn't really been taken up like they'd hoped and Facebook hasn't yet got themselves a search engine, as far as I know, so I guess the will remain masters of their own universes for the foreseable future........but we all know how quickly stuff changes in the online world!!!
I actually believe fb is on the decline, a fad that most people are becoming bored with. Most users are 13 year old kids! The number of users might be increasing but that is not a true representation of the number of unique users, which is on the decline.
Microsoft and Amazon and several others will stop them from taking over the world. In the end six corporations will rule the planet. 1984 will come to fruition 50 years late.
Hiya, Loes - Great info here for everyone - thank you for taking the time to put this here for all of us to see. I think Google's got way too big for it's boots. They imagine they are better than they actually are.
From a different perspective & in the hope it may help some-one as some stage - my wife and I at home flatly refuse to pay either Google or Facebook for advertising. There is absolutely no need to pander to or, worse still pay cash to these computer giants who think they own the internet. There is absolutely no need to pay for adverts anywhere when branding is done right.
My wife's been a free member here for 2 years and learned as a free member - WA Rocks, eh?
We have 3 commercial eShops plus 2 information blogs that we've learned how to do from the really great training WA provide right here. That's how good WA are in practice.
Each of our 3 shop earns cash, is listed on page 1 on Google and we have the top 10 Google place listings on page 1 of Google for 1 site. WA showed us how to do that.
We are thinking of renting Google advertising space on their own website (LOL). WA haven't showed us how to do that one yet and get away with it.
The secret that truly works wonders for us is using branding at other places (FB, Pinterest, G+, etc) rather than paying them a penny. WA showed us how to do that.
As soon as FB iron out the early problems with their demographic targeting we will consider paying for - just consider - that so we always test to see what works before ruling anything out. WA showed us how to do that.
All the best from My Mate, Bert and me. Press his green bowler 'coz it tickles My Mate, Bert and he's got a lovely larf. (WA showed us about Calls To Action as well).
Guess what? We love Wealthy Affiliate because it works - and better than that 'coz it's really all about the cash - WA works for us and puts cash in our bank.
And we most of all love our bank account (LOL)
Thank you for adding a blog to my blog, Andre! Much appreciate your reply! And, yes, there are many options taught at WA to advertise without paying for it:)

Both companies are huge and continue to add other companies to their portfolio to expand their reach. For example, Google owns YouTube and Facebook has Instagram.
They also buy companies to absorb them into the fold or eliminate them. Facebook bought and shut down Hot Potato - the site allowed users to "check-in" at venues or events, iNextstop - that site used social testimonials to increase the travel experiences of users, and Drop.io - similar concept to DropBox.
And to think, the US government made a big deal of breaking up Ma Bell (the Bell System - Bell Telephone) years ago because it was a "monopoly".
Yes, you are right, we shouldn´t allow these fusions
very little to do with the US government but who really runs the US government. 20 years back they threatened to break up microsoft due to having a monopoly - the Mr Gates started singing like a canary to their tune and invested heavily in cocoa-cola-mcdonalds and other multinationals ..funnily enough not much was heard about break up of the still monopoly that is microsoft..since!
