Can this wordpress site support storind digital files that can be made downloadable for visitors? If so, what file types does it support? I am looking to offer STL and other CA
Yes, but typically the best practice for sharing files is to leverage a purpose-built third-party file sharing service, such as Dropbox. There are plenty available, just run a search in Google.
I offer them but unless it's a free giveaway I FTP them to a special folder and password-protect them. I don't like using site content for the uploads and have found many of the plugin handlers lack adequate security for paid download.
i would zip them up - you can upload zips, pdf, doc, xls
i take it you are creating cad files for 3d printing
there i a plugin that can control hte file download or you just add them as links in your articles

WIll my wordpress website support youtube videos? Or is there another plug-in used to upload media like that?
As others have said, yes you can. But a word of caution, there is a second box you need to click when "embedding" the code from Utube or you can run into difficulties with the site being accessed in EU Countries. There is training here on WA - look in the "need help box".
Best Regards,
Trevor
If a YouTube video owner allows sharing, just click Share below their video and you will see a new URL appear that you can copy and paste. In this way you can share videos on your website.
You can take it a bit further by creating a graphic about that video (A screenshot from it) and embedding this URL within that pic.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
Edwin
i would tend to go for lazy load videos - where you place an image and link to the video
thi way you don't get hit with the penalty of the loading speed of the yt player - it is about 1mb - and on mobile it really slows your sitespeed down
if they are your vids on your channel then send them over to that or have a popup video player and lazyload for videos...
phil
Yes, you can use the video inserter in either classic editor or the new block editor called Gutenberg inside your WordPress back office.

Hello, I want to purchase 2 domains from WA. One to point to my shopify account and one for the blog site hosted here. If I receive email with the domains, will updating the DN
Another option, is to only purchase one domain name, and to point a subdomain of that domain to Shopify, I.e. if you purchase mydomain.com which is hosted at WA, with Email and then point shop.mydomain.com to Shopify.
That's if the shop and blog are related.
Or, instead of Shopify, why not use the WooCommerce plugin on your mydomain.com and have your own shop at mydomain.com/shop etc.
Yes, it will.
If you change the nameservers on your domain away from WA, then the server that it is pointing to (in this instance Shopify) will become in charge of handling the mail.
If you wish to point your domain to one place but have another place handling the mail, you need to do advanced DNS configuration.
You need to set the A records to Shopify, and you need to send the MX records to the place that you wish to handle your mail.
WA, however, as far as I'm aware, can only handle mail for domains hosted here (like many hosts - to prevent misuse).
I think it does, however you can check with site support just to be certain.

Same happens to me when I point any of my domains to WA.
Does hosting your wa domain on shopify disable the email?

Hello. Where could I find an updated privacy policy to include the State of California laws that took effect a few months ago? Thanks!
Hi Lindsey,
I googled your question and found several sites for you.
Here's one...

You may want to check out the other ones if this isn't what you want.
Good luck,
