5 Ways On What To Write About For My Blog, How To Get More Content

I've been yapping a lot about writing content on your website for traffic, so I though it would be nice for give you guys to get some ideas on what to write about.

Here are some ways to get inspired or motivated to get new ideas on what to write about for your website in ANY NICHE:

1. Your Personal Experience

You are taught here to choose a niche in your passion and what you love so there must be personal experiences you can pull from.

There must be at least two or three instances that is related to your niche, probably a lot more than that but I say at least 2- 3 stories you can share.

There is nothing better than a personal experience to connect with your readers because if you've experienced it, someone else must have experienced the same thing.

That kind of connection can't be bought, and if you can do that, you'll have a loyal following and they will definitely buy from you.

2. 10 Sub-Topics In Your Niche

It should not be hard to come up with some sub-topics of your niche. You are supposed to choose a niche you love, so come up with 10 - 20 sub topics to research or talk about,

For example, if your niche is how to care for senior dogs, you can come up with these sub-topics:

  1. What to expect health wise
  2. Things to look out for in specific breeds
  3. How to keep exercise in their lives
  4. How to pick a pet stroller
  5. How to travel with a senior dog
  6. How to care for their teeth
  7. What are the signs that tells you it's time
  8. Best therapeutic beds for senior dogs
  9. Steps/stairs for pets to get up to high places
  10. How to remember your loving pet

If I can come up with these sub-topics from the top of my head (though I've had experience with this niche) as I write this, you can come up with way more if this is your niche and your passion.

There are many products you can talk about in these sub topics which makes it easy for you to create tons of content for your site this way.

3. New Product Launches

This is an area where keywords don't really matter if you know the vendor will be a go-to one in your niche or if it's a sought after product.

This usually is really good for the tech niche or make money online niche, there are ways to get info on products that's about to launch and it's usually a site about product launches.

Find those types of bogs in your niche and you'll always be on top of what product will be coming out.

If you can, if you can get a blog post out on launch day, or within 3 days of launch, you can get massive traffic to your site as you'll be one of the first to rank on Google for that product.

Of course, your post should have that product name in the title and first paragraph, and the earlier you can write it and publishing it, the higher you rank on 1st page.

4. Competitors In Your Niche

You can always find these other websites in your niche that you all crave to see.

I hear so many people asking me for my site but really you don't need to ask because if you just researched your niche, you will find MANY sites that may be better than mine and ranked on first page... those are the sites you should be looking at, not mine.

Whatever your niche is, search on Google or whatever search engine, a question on your niche, a product in your niche, anything in your niche and see what comes on first page.

Those are the sites you should be studying and seeing what they are writing about and what YOU should be writing about.

The more you do this, the more you will soon OUTRANK these sites that you see.

YES this can happen, I've personally seen this happen with my site! I'm outranking the sites I used to drool over. :) Not everything of course, but for some posts I am which is good enough for me so far! ;)

5. News & Your Environment

I've pointed out in "SEO in action" post and in one year post that I had a spike in my traffic in May '17 because of something I wrote that was very news worthy.

It was an automation tool I was using for social media, and it was shut down by Instagram, so everyone was searching for that news.

Because I was using that service I knew of the shutdown early and I posted about it right away because I had learned from the previous month to that, if I waited on news like that for even a day, my traffic would not be as good.

It worked like a charm when did that because I got over 700 visits that day (my record for a day of traffic), but unfortunately that didn't equal much money since that affiliate program also shut down that day too. LOL

My point is...... Lol... It can bring you tons of traffic if you can catch the right story with your niche and hopefully it bring you money with that kind of huge traffic surge.

In order to get such news, you either need to set up Google Alerts (news about certain keywords that Google get news on) or from personal experience like myself, the news broke to me personally.

Side Note: I no longer talk about social media on my "make money online" niche site because social media people don't necessarily want to build a blog to make money and it's proven by the traffic I got from that news post and hardly anything converted to WA referrals. You really need to know your audience and focus on the people that really converts.

So, there you have it, 5 ways where you can get more content to write for your website, and I hope this will help you.

The main thing is that anything you write, you must put it in the keyword search tool here in WA or in Jaaxy to make sure you have a low hanging keyword (unless it's a really new product or really relevant news - though I still think about what words people would use to search with).

If you have any other ideas on what to write about, please share with members below so we can all learn.

Happy Writing,

Grace
