My very first blog is still blank and no niche :D

It's called writer's block. Or in my case, just a lack of direction. The fact is, I have many niches to embark on. Just not knowing which to work on first.

I have no idea what to write because I do not know how to structure my plans for my websites or my niches. So some bit of prioritizing is in order.

So I have decided to go by what content was easier to find. Which niche would have more in terms of quanity and interesting pictures, more products, and intuitive guestimates of profits that could be reaped from affiliate marketing.

By the time I hit my next blog, I would have figured it out.

Thanks so much Desmond

Sometimes the biggest problem is deciding which niche to follow. I would always, in this case, go to the one I am most interested in. It is much easier to write about an interest and it is more likely to flow in a friendlier way.

did you figure it out?

I'm sticking to the niche I originally wanted. Just completed the About Me / This Website :)

Awesome! if you ever need any help; brainstorming, feedback, someone to bounce ideas off, you know where to find me!

Best of Luck!

Well my topic is about dysphagia or difficulties swallowing. My Dad a dementia patient is very underweight and having had 2.5 feet of intestine missing doesn’t help. I’m going to put up links to powders and liquids that are health supplements and how to discreetly integrate it into his meals that he doesn’t notice he is being fortified or medicated. If he is malnourished he falls ill very easily.

I’ll try to cover different food particle sizes and textures.

I’m wanting people to share their ideas too for kids and elderly.

sounds like a great idea! how did you get on with Jaxxy?

Oh still mucking around.
I haven’t approved my own About Us yet, actually.
I’m going to trim it down as it’s too long.

Try breaking it up with headings, make the headings different like H1 H2 and H3, could also use a full width picture to break up the text, or style the font to make it more eye catching :)

Will definitely try that out! Thanks!

You will find your niche soon.

I'll just go with my instincts. :D

Hi Lisa- You will find your niche and when you decide which one to go with, your mind will open up and you will have ideas flooding- /all the very best- can't wait to hear about your progress
Vicki

One thing that I try to do is to make a decision based on the right research. I then do not go back and try to revive it, if it was a decision to stop.

Good luck in your endeavours.

Ahhh thanks. Now it makes sense not to buy the domain first! arghhh.

I know that feeling well... If I get a block; I take a blank piece of paper and draw a line down the middle, one side is Pro's and other side is Con's, I read up bits about the niche and jot down any pro's and con's Gradually i'll build up maybe five or more Pro's and then start my headline as something like "5 ways to etc..." and then build up from there.
I wish you all the very best.

Sounds like sound advice! Thanks!

very few people work it out on their first blog. Your approach, in my opinion, is super sensible.don't forget to do your keyword research because that is key. A lot of newbies want to Crack on and make the site. If you neglect the keyword research are only going to have to do in the future again so may as well do it now. Best of luck in your niche

I went through Jay's training on niches and it made me eliminate my top 2 :( but so, should I just persevere anyway on those?

Choose a niche about something really love if you can as this will help you heaps
Vicki

yeah but I would still need to qualify it against the keyword search and if it the number don't go in its favour?

there is a good chance you will change your niche more than once. Having been here 11 years I know the people who don't give up will always succeed. It's important that you take action because
"you don't have to be great to get started, but you do need to get started to be great!"
