My name is Desmond and as entrepeneur I provide management, consulting and business services to foreign SME's in the South East-Asia region, in particular Indonesia where I hold office.

I am member of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of more than 1. 2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Rotarians provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

As group manager of Expats Indonesia LinkedIn network group (3.500+ members) I moderate daily activities within the group. Expats Indonesia is a closed network group, open to past, present and future expatriates interested in developing a professional network in Indonesia.

I'm also active on Twitter and Facebook, so online networking is quite common to me. My reason to join the Wealthy Affiliate Community is that I like to learn about online networking and marketing in a more professional and profitable way.

My interests: stay in touch with nature - charitable projects - social media marketing - professional networking - travelling - art - culture - outdoor sports

I am getting to the social media and professional marketing side of things as I progress through the WA courses.
Got mixed up some years ago selling timeshare as a cold liner in Bali. Kuta square then Candidasa.
I absolutely love Bali.The north east coast up around Amlapura /Jasi - surf surf surf and no one around just the locals.

There are plans to build a second airport on the north side and even to build a railway line. With these plans, the Indonesian government hopes to attract more tourists. However, I hope these plans are not being implemented so there's still something to discover in Bali.

p.s. Desmond, I went to have a look at 2 of your websites, it all looks so professional, quite a bit above me I must say.
I wanted to leave a comment somewhere but got a bit lost. I find the idea to help people who want to emigrate very good indeed as changing country can really be a hassle, have done it myself a couple of times.
As I am clumsy with everything technical do tell me where to go to leave a comment and I will gladly do so.

My dear Father was born in Indonesia, at the Toba Lake/Sumatra.
In Holland, he was also a member of the Rotary Club.
Reading your profile I really get the impression that you must be very busy indeed.
I like the bit: stay in touch with nature. As a child, we lived like that and now in Spain, I have created my own little paradise, that is what my friends call it.
When I meet new people here I always say in case you need a good source for writing do have a look at my WA post on the Spanish priest and the world library, you might find it helpful.

Great to read about the similarities between me and your late father, reg. country of birth and our Rotary membership. There are also some similarities between Wealthy Affiliate and Rotary, as we are building ourselves when we are serving others!

Thumbs up about creating your own little paradise. 'We only live once but if we do it right once is enough'. I've read your WA-posting on the Spanish priest, but couldn't find the priest's letter though on http://www.wdl.org.
