I learn something new almost every day here at Wealthy Affiliate. The community is so gracious with sharing their knowledge. Recently, I have heard a lot of success stories from members of the community. I always like to read success stories, it gives me encouragement.

The Importance of Subscribers To Your Website.

One important bit of knowledge I obtained this week, is the importance of getting readers to subscribe to your website. I was shocked to find out the value of building an email list. It is said that for every person on your email list, it equates to monthly revenue of $0.25. Well, that doesn't sound like much until you do the math. If you have an email list of 500 subscribers, it would be $125.00 a month, 1000 subscribers would be $250.00, 2000 subscribers would be $500.00 a month. Well, I don't know about you, but I could use an extra $500.00 each month.

When a reader subscribes to your website, they will get an email notification every time you do a post.

Importance of Comments

I've come to realize the value of comments on your website, both giving and receiving comments. When someone comments on your website and you respond, it shows interaction. In turn, it will boost your Google rankings. The more comments you have, Google deems your post as adding value to your readers.

I recently gave comments on the site comment platform and my comment was declined. I honestly, was shocked. It was a review of a pizza oven. I left a comment with regard to it looking like a great product, and liked the easy set up and fast cooking time. I thought that seemed thorough enough, but apparently it was not. So a word of advice, leave as much detail as possible in your comments. Also, asking questions, so the website owner can interact with you. That also helps Google rankings.

Are You Writing Content for People That Are Ready to Buy?

Always remember your reader as you are writing your content. Make sure you are adding value to your readers. Your content should always aim to solve a problem someone has on the internet. It you are helping people, they will come to your site. The more people that visit your site, the higher the probability of making a sale.

If you focus on helping the reader and not making money, the money will happen automatically. Let's say I Googled, "What is the best snow shovel"? Chances are, I am looking for a shovel and I'm ready to buy. When we write content that solves a problem and helps the reader, chances are we will get a sale.
